Portugal golf – the Cascais Golf Trophy returns to Cascais

Oitavos Dunes. Cascais

Oitavos Dunes

Cascais at Portugal

One year after its forced suspension in 2020, this Trophy is back, this weekend.

In this 2021 edition, it was named “Novek Cascais Golf Trophy”, by the Novek Real Estate company and also with the support of Hama, Golf Lake Balls and the “founding sponsors”, Quinta de São Sebastião, the magazine Golf 2 All and tourism of Cascais.

It will be played at Lisbon Sports Club Golf Course, Belas Clube de Campo Golf Course, Penha Longa Golf Course, Pestana Beloura Golf Course, Estoril Golf Course, Onyria Quinta da Marinha Golf Course and culminate in a final at the Oitavos Dunes Golf Course.

The members of these golf courses can participate in all the competitions, or only in the ones they choose. The 4 classified in each eliminatory will be qualified for the Final at the Oitavos Dunes Golf Course: 1st gross men, 1st net men Cat. A, 1st net men Cat. B, 1st net ladies and a 1 lucky loser (to be drawn at the end). At the same time, there will be a Gross Order of Merit, which still counts ten players for the final, so that low handicap players have equal opportunities to be in the final, compared to the highest handicap players.

For Tee Times Golf Agency, the return of the Cascais Golf Trophy to Cascais will be of great prestige and visibility for the region, the golf courses involved and the institutions that host it, in addition to fostering a spirit of enormous friendship between all resident and international players.

To be parte of this memorable event or for a luxury golf holiday, in this emblematic and glamorous region, we suggest the historical and with stunning views hotels, Palácio Estoril Hotel Golf & Spa *****, Senhora da Guia Cascais Boutique *****, Onyria Quinta da Marinha Hotel Resort *****, Tivoli Palácio de Seteais *****, The Oitavos *****, Penha Longa Resort *****, Pestana Sintra Golf & Spa Resort ****.

Portugal golf holidays – Portugal with new air routes in the summer

Portugal with new air routes in the summer

Portugal with new air routes

Ryannair is an important partner for the development of tourism in Portugal and so the Tee Times Golf Agency considers these new routes of great importance, as the frequency of flights is vital to encourage travelers, especially golfers both for the Algarve and for Lisbon.

Operating already in Lisbon, Porto, Faro, Ponta Delgada and Terceira (Lajes) airports, Ryanair announced that two new routes, Lisbon-Cologne (Germany), with two weekly flights, and Faro-Belfast (Northern Ireland), with daily flights, will be included in their new summer programme, plans to operate a total of 121 routes in Europe and 595 flights during the high season.

For Ryanair, this is an optimistic message of hope and confidence in the return of trips for this summer being favourable with the European Union’s proposal for the creation of “green certificates” that allow citizens of the Member States to travel between the different countries during the summer, although, they think that should not be a discriminatory factor among voyagers.

Ryanair currently operates at 240 airports, has 77 bases in 40 countries and expects to receive more than 200 new Boeing aircraft in the coming years.
