Rory McIlroy is crowned for the third time on the European Tour, this time as Champion of the Race to Dubai’s DP World Tour Championship.

A fourth round of 66 shots, allowed Rory McIlroy crowned for the third time in the last four years as number one by winning the European Tour Race to Dubai. In addition, McIlroy managed to win for the second year the DP World Tour Championship, the European Tour finale.

McIlroy beat Danny Willett His rival maximum in the Order of Merit and Andy Sullivan in regard to the tournament. Eight birdies throughout the day, four of them between 11 and 15, were endorsed by McIlroy in the final round that closed the 2015 season in Europe.

McIlroy -21 won in Dubai and one stroke ahead of Andy “Spaceman” Sullivan, and six on the South African Branden Grace. Behind a group of six players with -13, Molinari, Schwartzel, Willett, Grillo and the two would-be rookie of the year, Matt Fitzpatrick English and Korean Byeong Hun An.

Of the four Spaniards in the field, three finished tied with -7 in the twenty second place. Rafa Cabrera-Bello who delivered the second best card of the day (66), Pablo Larrazabal and Alejandro Canizares. Miguel Angel Jimenez finished forty-eighth -1.

Long-time Official Starter to The European Tour and The Open, Ivor Robson is retiring after 41 years in the role this week. The last word, fittingly came from Ivor himself. “It has been a wonderful career,” he said. “It’s been a great honour to have been allowed to be the Official Starter for The European Tour. Thank you.”

Here follows the review of the last Tuesday’s golf match opposing the Chez Carlos Golf Society and the Parky’s Bar Cup teams.

On Tuesday 17th November 2015 on a fantastic sunny day with 20ºC, with blue skies, Chez Carlos Golf Society faced off Parky’s Bar group at the Oceânico Laguna Golf Course, in a 12 vs. 12 match, 4 Ball Better Ball format.

Laguna was in excellent conditions, Tees and Fairways spotless, the Greens a bit hard, but fast around 8,5 to 9 feet (stimpmeter).

For the history records: 4,5 – 1,5 results win for Chez Carlos Golf Society.

Filipe at Chez Carlos Restaurant prepared excellent nibbles as usual, for the after game gathering of all players in a friendly atmosphere. Promises for a rematch where left hanging in the air.

Vilamoura home of the Masters, a European Tour golf competition, and several times voted the best golf destination in the world, due to its 6 golf courses, its accommodation capacity with several internationally renowned hotels, countless restaurants and bars and the best European recreational marina, is also planning a master plan that foresees an investment of 10 million euros.

The executive chairman of the World Vilamoura, Paul Taylor, revealed that the construction of this project L’Orangerie Phase II starts in January 2016, and the marketing of the units begin to be made from the same date. The project completion is scheduled for the summer of 2017. Phase II includes 32 units, all designed facing the golf courses.

This project is received “high interest internationally, especially from British investors, Swedish, German and Chinese, in Vilamoura development projects since the Masterplan was released.” According to the same source, the recovery of the Portuguese economy is “to attract global attention and investment we make here reinforces the reference position of Portugal as a real estate investment market in Southern Europe.”
