Golf de Pals improve the golf course

Golf de Pals has recently presented renovations to its pro-shop and its golf course as part of an investment of two hundred and fifty thousand euros.

A pioneering golf course on the Costa Brava when opening in 1966, Golf de Pals has hosted several national and international competitions including the first Spanish Open part of the European Tour in 1972, and the Spanish Amateur in 1970, 1994 and 2002. A golf course praised by many, especially for the need to be precise and to use a good strategy given the best attention to the details of the golf course.

While his traditions have recently been recognized by the Royal Spanish Golf Federation by awarding the Golf Merit Plaque in 2020, there is now a feeling of additional freshness after investing around one hundred thousand euros in remodeling the pro-shop in order to improve the retail experience to is golfers.

On the golf course itself as contributing an equally significant figure in tees areas and in the irrigation system to achieve higher maintenance standards.

Golf de Pals is also willing to add some modern touches with the aim of achieving improvements not only on the golf course but also in other facilities. These are important projects and they have ensured that the club remains as popular as ever with its members and guests.

Portugal shone at the World Travel Awards (WTA) 2020, considered the Oscars of Tourism and which once again distinguished Madeira as the best island destination, Lisbon as the best city break destination and the Algarve as the best beach destination in the world.

“Overcoming all constraints, we have preserved the reputation and notoriety of our destinations”, welcomes Rita Marques, Secretary of State for Tourism, considering that Portugal has shown the world that it is “a safe country, ready to welcome everyone”.

The World Travel Awards have been awarded annually, since 1993, by professionals in the sector on a worldwide scale, distinguishing the work developed in the tourism industry in order to stimulate the competitiveness and quality of tourism.
