Solheim Cup will celebrate Andalusia with special outfits

PING, Solheim Cup 2023 Founding Partner, will uniform staff and volunteers at Finca Cortesín, in Costa del Sol, from September 18 to 24.

To celebrate Andalusia, the region hosting this year’s Solheim Cup, more than a thousand people will wear an unique outfit designed by PING just for that week. This shows that the organisation is not affiliated with either of the conventional team colours (blue and red), demonstrating its commitment to being neutral and inclusive of supporters of all stripes.

As a complement to this wardrobe, the more than a hundred Solheim Cup 2023 ambassadors will also wear their own PING uniform created specifically for the occasion.

PING garments stand out for their advanced technology, since they use the most modern, comfortable and sustainable materials of the moment and usually demanded by golfers.

“We are honoured to be selected as the tournament’s official clothing supplier for both the staff and volunteers. Without the help of these individuals, who work diligently to make this tournament a success, it would not have been nearly as successful”, said Lisa Lovatt, general manager of PING Europe.

Spain golf resorts and golf courses compete in the 59club Europe South Annual Excellence in Service Awards

The 59club Europe South Annual Excellence in Service Awards ceremony will take place on March 2, and the top golf holiday resorts and golf courses in Spain have been shortlisted.

These distinguished honours are given to venues, teams, and people who go above and beyond to provide exceptional service to members and visitors in the worldwide golf and hospitality business.

The rating is impartial and is determined by scores achieved through a detailed and objective mystery shopping program that measures the experience provided to members, visitors and potential members that encompasses golf, leisure, spa and gastronomy operations.

In the Costa Brava, the resort Camiral Golf & Wellness, which was voted the number one golf holiday resort in Spain, received five nominations in multiple service excellence award categories.

In the Costa del Sol, the resort Finca Cortesín, host of the 2023 Solheim Cup, is nominated for two awards.

The golf courses of Alcanada Golf and Golf Son Muntaner, both located in the Balearic Islands, are represented in the categories of Golf Retail and Greenkeeper of the Year, respectively.

Santander Golf Tour 2023 starts at Peralada

The Santander Golf Tour circuit returns to the scene in its eighth edition with an exciting year ahead.

Beginning on March 1-3 at Peralada Golf with the Santander LETAS Girona, the first of two events this year co-sanctioned with the LET Access Series, the season will then continue on March 29-30 at the Real Club Golf San Sebastián.

Two further tournaments will be held in April, one at Lerma Golf on April 19 and 20, and the other at Lauro Golf in Málaga on April 28 and 29, both as part of the famous doubles championship.

There will be a break in the schedule until after the summer following the May 24–25 tournament at the Real Club de Golf de La Coruña.

The Santander Golf Tour LETAS Zaragoza, hosted at the golf course of Real Club de Golf La Peñaza from October 26-28, will be the finale of the LET Access Series season and the second tournament co-sanctioned with LETAS this year.

The remaining four events of the season will all take place in the month of November. They will begin on November 4th and 5th at El Bosque Golf. The next stop on the tour is at Real Golf de Pedreña for a match-play event on November 8-10. The Legends Pro-Am is scheduled for the 14th and 15th of November at Golf Santander in Madrid.

The last tournament of the year, the Santander Spanish Women’s Professional Championship, will be held from November 29th to December 1st, in a yet-to-be-determined golf course.

“We appreciate the collaboration of all the sponsors and collaborators, as well as the media support that the circuit has. In addition, this year the winner of the 2023 ranking will obtain a place in the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open of Spain 2023 that will be played from November 23 to 26 at the Real Club de Golf Las Brisas”, indicates Alicia Garrido, director of the circuit.
