Course in great condition with greens pretty fast and true.We found it a tough course and we’re told north course even tougher!!
Only disappointing thing about it were drinks in bar were extortionate.They should take a leaf out of Valle Guadiana or Benamor book on prices of food and drink(2 beers,2 sprite and 2 orange juices were €28!!). Read more about El Rompido South

La Cala is a stunning Golf Resort - a very busy one. Played the Asia Course and the fairways and Greens were superb. Some of their Par 3s suffer on the tee box.
Golf Buggies a must and the staff were really friendly. The best I have dealt with all week.
Golf Shop not as well stocked as I expected and the dearest I have seen all week.

The layout of the course is great and a true test. The greens aren't good on the eye but are really good. The course itself is tired looking but overall I am really looking forward to playing g it again. I do have to commend the caddy masters for the earnest of welcomes I've ever had On a golf course. I woukdrecommend the course . The only criticism really is they put two balls out on tee times instead of pairing two balls up and making four balls. Read more about Añoreta Golf course

L'accueil sur le parking, où on te charge le sac sur le buggy est très appréciable. Très bon acceuil aussi au proshop et au restaurant.

Really enjoyed the course more traditional than the Sancti Petri 3 course complex but equally as good and also better priced. strange that they had allowed a 6 ball out on the course though. Would have scored the review higher as these people would not let me play through as ''they were playing a competition'' not sure how many 6 ball comps there are. Challenging course through hilly terrain. Stunning views of the surrounding mountains. More rugged & less refined than many of the courses in the area but that adds to its charm. Typical Balesteros design requiring careful planning on every shot. A few too many blind shots, narrow fairways and some unfair slopes in landing areas which can punish what seemed a good shot. Would not play again. Course poor condition. Very wet and long grass. Greens in poor condition. Signage on some holes not clear and directions. Too many par 3 holes. The bunkers were big and lots of them, I suppose to make the course play a little more difficult. Most bunkers were not raked as there was no rake to use. The complete club needs serious attention. Andalusia, destination for the best golf course designers
What connects Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Seve Ballesteros, Dave Thomas, and Robert Trent Jones? A simple solution: all these famous golfers have designed golf courses in Andalusia.
Andalusia is one of the most popular golf holiday locations in the world, so it's no surprise that you can rely on a high standard of quality and service there.
For example, the Montecastillo layout was designed by Jack Nicklaus, widely considered the sport's greatest player of all time. This golf course enjoys a fantastic record as a location for significant international competitions, including five editions of the Volvo Masters. Nicklaus has designed almost 300 golf courses around the world.
Also present in the region, Gary Player made a work of art in the Zaudín. Gary Player himself described it as one of the most beautiful of his career.
The great Severiano Ballesteros has also left his mark in Andalusia. His first 18 holes were in the Novo Sancti Petri Pines & Sea course. Most recently, in 2008, he designed the San Roque New course.
Almenara golf course was created by Dave Thomas. In the same way, he put his signature in the final nine holes of La Cañada, while the first nine were the work of Robert Trent Jones, who also designed Valderrama and Real Club de Golf de Sotogrande.
Many more important golfers have designed golf courses in Andalusia, like Cabell Robinson, Kyle Phillips, and José Maria Cañizares.
