Santa Clara Golf opened in July 2001. This golf course is located only a couple of kilometres east of Marbella at the Costa del Sol in Spain .Enrique Canales designed this course in ''Park-land'' style and, although Santa Clara Golf is located in an undulated area, it is relatively forgiving. Probably the most difficult hole is the long 8th (par 5 - 506 metres). The tee box is positioned at the highest level of the course. The narrow fairway of this hole curves all the way down to sea level.Santa Clara Golf is designed accordance the latest USGA specifications of a Park-land course. Besides the huge river which swirls across the whole golf course there are plenty of lakes (the small lake around the 18th green provides a stunning setting, see the picture above) and spectacular elevated greens.(...) It is convenietly placed as regards transport and facilities making this golf course easy to reach The Cabopino area of the coast is one of the most picturesque. With its quaint port, white sand dune-filled beach and lush green pine forests, you can’t help but fall in love with it. The Cabopino Golf Club has a similar effect. Designed by little-known Spanish architect Juan Ligues, this 18-hole, par-71 golf course is short but very tight in places. This charming course will not only test your golfing skills but thanks to some strategically placed hazards, it will also test the patience to the limit. Real Sotogrande Golf course is a gem of a golf course on the Spanish Costa del Sol that was constructed more than 50 years ago, and it still provides a real test to even the best golfers. Opened in 1964, the golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones. It was his first European golf course.It is par 72, 6,224-metre layout Sotogrande is a private members' club, which maintains an air of calm and restrained sophistication, whilst at the same time providing a warm welcome to visitors. The clubhouse is well designed and elegant, the food and drink excellent and well presented, and the changing rooms. There are many strategically placed bunkers and water hazards. The fairways are wide lined by wonderful cork, eucalyptus, pine, oak and palm trees, making par very difficult for the golfer be able to relax. The greens are fast and true. The golf course underwent a massive upgrade in 2015-16 which was completed by Roger Rulewich and David Fleury in two stages to allow members the use of one nine at all times. Putting surfaces had grown by up to 40% of their original size over time so green shapes were fully recovered, with sub air systems installed to ensure their optimum performance. Fairways and tees were also reconstructed, using 41,000 kilometres of drainage, 71,000 tonnes of sand and 37 hectares of Bermuda grass. (...) Rating 9/10

The greens are large and flat with sensitive undulations and the wide tees can be accommodated to reduce or enlarge the challenge of the golf course.Mijas Los Lagos is considered a course suitable for holiday golfers, being one of the most famous golf courses of the Costa del Sol.(...)
