Mijas Golf - Los Lagos
Mijas Golf International offers two 18 holes golf courses: Los Lagos and Los Olivos. These particularly flat courses are one of the most visited on the Costa del Sol in Spain. Mijas Golf is located at the Costa del Sol 4 kilometres of the N340 towards Alhaurin el Grande close to Fuengirola. The Los Lagos golf course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, was founded in 1976. Although the wide fairways and light rough provide this course a friendly character at first sight, one should be aware of the large bunkers and multiple water hazards formed by eight lakes! The par five 5th hole, 564 m, is one of the longest holes at the Costa del Sol and Andalucía. The Los Olivos golf course, also designed by Robert Trent Jones, was inaugurated in 1984. This course is shorter than Los Lagos and water hazards are less in play. Nevertheless los Olivos is not easier to beat. The fairways and greens are smaller and there is more vegetation and undulation.The Mijas Golf Resort has an unique entrance, an American style wide road swirls through the fairways and greens towards the clubhouse and the reputable Hotel Byblos Andaluz.

Course in very good condition. Best Greens of the local courses we played. More traditional course layout and flatter terrain than many in the area. Very playable for mid handicappers. Not a great deal of variety in the holes - most have large bunkers left & right of driving area, many raised greens well protected by bunkers or water. Overall, very enjoyable and would play again.

Mijas Los Lagos was in tip top condition. Tee boxes, fairways and green all in excellent order.
Great food in the courtyard also and friendly staff throughout the golf club.
