Three Portuguese destinations for spring breaks
The famous magazine Lonely Planet has placed the Western Algarve, Madeira and Azores among the best for spring breaks in Europe. Consider these regions for your next golf holidays.
At the Western Algarve, part of the most famous Portuguese destination for golf holidays, Lonely Planet recommends the whitewashed little towns, the stunning beaches, the fabulous Cabo de São Vicente, and the natural park of Costa Vicentina on the west coast of the region. Of the Azores, the magazine highlights the island of São Miguel, the biggest of the archipelago. Lonely Planet calls Madeira the ‘island of the eternal spring’ and describes the island as a botanist’s fantasy. The magazine’s recommendations are a delicious wine tasting in Funchal, the wonderful Botanical Gardens of Madeira, the Cabo Girão and the traditional toboggan rides on Madeira’s steep streets.
