Ana Peláez Shines Again at the Spanish Women’s Professional Championship

Ana Peláez has done it again; another strong, confident win that puts her at the top of Spanish Women’s Professional Championship. Playing at the heathland course at La Hacienda Links Golf Resort, right in the Costa del Sol, she defended her title with style and closed the championship at six under par. Her final round of 71 may look calm on paper, but it came with pressure, momentum swings, and the kind of focus that shows why she is one of the rising names in Spain golf.

The day didn’t start perfectly. Two early bogeys opened the door for María Parra, who was on fire with five under the front nine, including two eagles. But Peláez stayed patient. On the back nine, she showed the control of a true champion: a key birdie on 14, followed by three more on 15, 17 and 18. In the end, she won by seven strokes—an incredible margin at this level.

Her victory is another highlight for the Costa del Sol, one of the best regions for golf in Europe. With world-class courses, sunny weather and year-round playability, it’s no surprise that so many players choose this area for their Spain golf holidays. The region continues to host important tournaments like this one, showing why it’s known as the “Costa del Golf.”

Behind Peláez, María Parra finished second with a strong performance, while María Villanueva and Marta Martín completed the top positions. Amanda Revuelta also stood out as the best amateur of the week.

For golf fans planning their next Spain golf holidays, events like this show the level of talent and excitement happening in the country. And with the Costa del Sol preparing for more top events, it’s the perfect time to enjoy outstanding golf, great weather, and unforgettable moments on and off the course.
