El Paraiso Golf
El Paraiso Golf Course lies in the valley in the foothills of the Sierra Bermaja mountains. The fairways bordered by heavy rough include meandering streams and fauna such as oleander, jacaranda, and mimosas. Santana Golf Club
Santana Golf & Country Club is an 18 Hole golf course par 72 of approx. 6203 metres (just under 7000 yards) in length, set in 138 acres of picturesque parkland. The golf course, sympathetically laid out by the architect Cabell B. Robinson, is set in a former avocado plantation. The final result is a magnificent course with wide and well defined fairways on level terrain, hence easily walkable, where water features play an important albeit not excessive part in the overall design. Each hole has two championship tees and two tees for general play for both men and ladies– wide and well manicured putting greens surrounded by strategically placed bunkers, filled with sand produced from crushed marble. Buggy paths are provided throughout the golf course, beautifully integrated between the rows of fruit trees. Santana Golf course is technically speaking a demanding golf course as the unique design of each hole is intended to give a continuous challenge, even for the more experienced player. The layout of the greens, well protected by greenside bunkers, as well as the many water hazards spread throughout the golf course, will challenge every golfer and require good course management as well as the use of every golf club in the bag. It is difficult to speak of a signature hole at Santana Golf as they all have something special to offer. The long Par-4 18th is one of the most demanding finishing holes along the coast according to the designer, with the lake along the right hand side and a narrow approach to the green. The 4th hole can only be defined with one word: spectacular. Cabopino Golf Club
Cabopino Golf course with 5.170 metres; and par 71 has three par 3’s, two par 5’s and the rest par 4’s. Amongst the many spectacular holes, the par 4, 3rd hole would be the signature hole at Cabopino golf course. The tee box perched on the side of the cliff presents you with a tee shot that has a drop of nearly 80 metres to the fairway, then you face an elevated green protected by a large bunker. What connects Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Seve Ballesteros, Dave Thomas, and Robert Trent Jones? A simple solution: all these famous golfers have designed golf courses in Andalusia.
Andalusia is one of the most popular golf holiday locations in the world, so it's no surprise that you can rely on a high standard of quality and service there.
For example, the Montecastillo layout was designed by Jack Nicklaus, widely considered the sport's greatest player of all time. This golf course enjoys a fantastic record as a location for significant international competitions, including five editions of the Volvo Masters. Fantastic, challenging golf course. Strategy needed on every hole and some pretty daunting views from the tee.
By far the best course I played in Marbella.
Parking was free and very easy despite some of the reviews we read, my only criticism was that we were understandably kept well clear of the hotel area, the golf reception and buggy collection is under the hotel,. with the absence of a clubhouse we didnt feel as though we could go for a drink or lunch afterwards. 17th hole bad design. it's a long carry to get to the top of the hill with your drive. 3 out of 4 balls rolled back 120 yds across the cart path and down a another steep incline.almost onto the green of another hole. The 4th player drove to the right into the tree/rough on purpose to stop the ball rolling back.

Santana golf rescheduled our flight and let ua start before all other regurlar flight. People in the restaurant are also very friendly and in for a joke. The course is very beautifully shaped. It is rather steep with a lot of up and down and really challenging. Many holes are blind holes, a few of the greens are not in the best shape. I played at Bavaria Golf Club 19th August and returned for a second round on 23rd August having played here in June 2023 - it is a 20 minute drive from the centre of Nerja not far from the A7. The course facilities are excellent and staff including Javier and Sam in the Pro Shop could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The course is currently operating under drought conditions having had little rain for almost 2 years in this part of Spain. Although the fairways are in poor condition the Tees and Greens were excellent and the varied course with many water features is very enjoyable to play. The club kindly gave us a vouchers for a complimentary drink in view of the environmental conditions and provided a frozen towel to freshen up on the back 9 which was most welcome with temperatures around 30 degrees C although with a pleasant sea breeze! I hope to return to play at the course next year perhaps a little earlier in the summer season. Read more about Baviera Golf Course

Enjoyable round although the layout of the course is challenging - directions to the 4th Tee need improving - the practice range is a 10 minute walk from Pro-shop - no street parking available today. Greens and fairways in pretty good condition despite the drought although some of the tees need attention. Really enjoyed playing with visitors from Sweden and the proximity to the beach with a sea breeze (temperature 31 degrees C today) was great! Online booking with Tee Times added value. Although the course was in reasonable condition it was a pain playing behind 4 four balls, very slow, would have been better if we had been paired up as a four.
Pro shop experience was the best part of the visit with a welcome Champagne on arrival and good customer service. Prices in the shop were very reasonable with 30% off all clothing.

There had been some early morning rain and with a few wet areas we decided to clean and place. Otherwise the course was in very good condition and very enjoyable. The last few holes seemed to be new from my memory but were interesting.. Ranger on course and field kept up. 4 hours 45 minute round.
