El Valle, La Torre and Hacienda Riquelme reopen their doors

Both La Torre Golf and Hacienda Riquelme will welcome all enthusiastic golfers starting next Monday, May 25.

Three of the four jewels belonging to the GNK Golf group, reopened or reopened their doors after the forced confinement due to COVID-19. The first to do it was El Valle Golf, one of the courses in which Nicklaus Design put all its style and wisdom in the province of Murcia. The doors of this complex were reopened on May 11 with 120 players on the course eager to resume their sports activity, a success that has been happening since that first opening Monday.

La Torre Golf and Hacienda Riquelme will be the next courses that will receive all golfers from this part of southeaster Spain. Both complexes will welcome all fans starting next Monday, May 25. The last of the four GNK Golf courses to return to activity will be Alhama Signature, considered one of the best golf courses in Spain and the jewel in the crown of the group Needless to say, the reopens were carried out or will be carried out under the strictest security measures established by the health authorities, as well as with the protocol for sports practice established by the main Spanish golf institutions such as the Royal Spanish Golf Federation (RFEG), Autonomous Federations. Spanish Association of Golf Courses (AECG), Spanish Association of Greenkeepers (AEdG), Spanish Association of Golf Managers (AEGG) and Spanish Association of Golf Professionals (PGA).

Each of the four courses mentioned has its own personality and its own challenges, a typical feature of the courses designed by the Golden Bear, always under his well-known philosophy: “Golf is a game for the thoughtful man and that is what makes fun”.

To all this it must be added that the four golf courses of the group are within a maximum radius of 30 kilometres easily accessible through motorways or main roads, which enables GNK to provide great benefits to each and every one of its members, residents and guests looking for a perfect golf holiday.

The information describes the contribution of this sport to the whole of Spanish society: 270,000 federated and 1,500,000 foreign tourists.

It is news for the unusual. And it is that on rare occasions the general television broadcasts echo some news related to the world of golf, although to tell the truth and since the appearance of Jon Rahm it seems that something is changing.

Proof of this is that the TVE Newscast on Sunday, May 10, in its 9:00 pm edition, echoed the reopening of the golf courses, which was carried out this Monday, May 11 in those facilities located within the territorial zones designated as Phase I within the de-escalation process designed by the Government of Spain.

The piece begins with a multi-call starring many of the best Spanish professional golfers – Carlota Ciganda, Rafa Cabrera Bello, Azahara Muñoz, Nacho Elvira, Jorge Campillo, Adrián Otaegui -, who welcome all the federated with a resounding “see you soon on the golf courses”!

The review of the security measures established by the Ministry of Health, of mandatory compliance, related to the before, during and after the game round, gives way to a few words from onzaga Escauriaza, President of the RFEG, who ensures that “the physical and mental health of all the members of the federation is congratulated, as well as the image of Spain abroad, which I hope will help, and greatly, the recovery of tourism and the economy.”

The information also describes the contribution of golf to the whole of Spanish society: 270,000 federated, almost one and a half million foreign tourists who come to our country motivated by golf holidays; some 2,500 million euros per year and more than 30,000 direct and indirect jobs generated each year by golfers from all over the world.

“Turismo de Portugal” created a certification stamp to recognizes companies in the Tourism sector that comply with the recommendations of the Directorate-General of Health to avoid contamination of spaces with SARS-CoV-2.

We are proud to announce that “Turismo de Portugal” has certified Tee Times Golf Agency with this “Clean & Safe” stamp.

This measure, articulated with the Confederation of Tourism of Portugal (CTP) and with contributions from other associations in the sector, seeks to sensitize enterprises to the minimum procedures to be adopted and encourage the recovery of the tourism sector at the national and international level, reinforcing confidence of everyone in the destination Portugal and its tourist resources.

With this measure, the National Tourist Authority intends not only to transmit to companies information on the minimum necessary hygiene and cleaning measures for establishments but also to promote Portugal as a safe destination.

As your best partners in golf, we always put the safety of our dear visitors and guests at first place and it is important for us to do all the efforts to create a secure, ethical, social and clean environment in our offices to reinforce our commitment to our clients and co-workers.
