Former tennis world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero is starting a new chapter in golf. The 2003 Roland Garros champion and former coach of Carlos Alcaraz is now working as a mental coach for young Spanish golfer Ángel Ayora, one of the rising stars on the DP World Tour.
At 21 years old, Ayora is a promising talent in Spanish golf. Ferrero will help him improve focus, manage pressure, and stay mentally strong during tournaments. Ferrero recently joined Ayora at the Dubai Desert Classic, giving advice on concentration and mental preparation. He won’t be coaching the swing, but his experience in top-level sports makes him the perfect guide for mental performance.
Ayora trains and plays on some of Spain’s best golf courses, such as Real Club Valderrama, La Manga Club, and Real Club de Golf El Prat. These courses are popular for golf holidays and golf breaks in Spain, offering amazing fairways, great weather, and a rich golf culture.
For Ayora, who chose not to join the LIV Golf League, working with Ferrero is a big chance to grow on the European tour and become a top Spanish golfer. This partnership shows Spain’s growing role in professional golf and why the country is one of the best places for golf holidays in Europe.
