Salgados is a flat, modern links-style golf course with a tropical feel, enhanced by the pleasant sea-breeze.Hole 1, a par 4, offers you the opportunity to start your round with a birdie as you'll have plenty of space for your shots. But remember that since it's quite open you'll need to consider the wind factor. But an easy start nonetheless. Hole 2 is a difficult par 5 for most where your 2nd shot determines your success. Vale do Lobo Ocean golf course is a par 73 and presents itself with some of most spectacular views, on any golf course in Algarve. The front and back nine had some of the nicest layouts of an Algarve golf course. A long opening hole, then followed by the introduction of water required careful plotting. A fantastic golf hole awaits you on the 9th with a sequence of waterfalls flowing from the left of the green along side of the fairway. Back nine runs back and forth to the Ocean and marvelous white sandy beaches, part of Vale do Lobo golf resort. Some really nice holes before a tough hole back to the club house with an amphitheater green. A well worth Vale do Lobo golf course to play any time of the year in Algarve. ...
Gramacho Golf Course
Gramacho golf is a par 72 course, located near Carvoeiro, western Algarve. Ronald Fream designed a course with 18 greens and tee boxes and 9 fairways. Later, Nick Price added the other 9 fairways and refurbished the existing so one interesting feature on this course is that many of its holes have 2 greens. Gramacho is a short course, with undulating greens and fairways. In fact, it is quite a hilly course, often with steep terrain, making it a walking challenge for the less fit. The front nine starts with a picturesque 1st hole where you'll need to lay up short of the central rock and tree outcrop, to leave a flighted short iron second. An uphill, downhill exercise takes you to the 6th hole, a par 5 with a tree in the centre of the fairway. Hole 10 is the course's most beautiful hole where uneven terrain and a lake condition your shots. Hole 12 is a true par 5 with a dogleg right that requires two good shots so that your third one has some visibility onto the green. The 16th hole is the course's stroke 1, a tricky par 4, narrow, with many hazards for you to contend with. Hole 18 is a par 5 with a hard tee shot onto an uphill fairway surrounded by obstacles such as trees, rocks and 3 deep bunkers protecting the green. Gramacho is a nice course, with beautiful algarvean countryside but just a bit demanding on the legwork. Nevertheless, it has hosted the Portuguese Ladies Open on several occasions.Carvoeiro area is known for its breathtaking beaches and wonderful seafood so your best bet for a post-golf drink and/or meal is to head for the coast where the choice of restaurants and beach bars is wide and will not disappoint. ...

San Lorenzo Golf Course
Due to a fire that happened in the clubhouse in the Summer of 2023, the golf course is currently operating with temporary facilities. The Tees, fairways and greens remain undamaged and in excellent condition. - Food and beverages are exclusive to the buggy bar. - Temporary restroom facilities remain available throughout the premises. San Lourenco is a par 72 golf course located in Quinta do Lago and is considered one of the best and most beautiful golf courses in Europe. The fact that this is an award-winning golf course is no coincidence. Bordering with the breathtaking Ria Formosa Natural Park, some of its golf holes are blessed with what can only be described as exquisite beauty. If the first holes of San Lourenco golf course present no major surprise or challenges, after the 3rd, closer to the estuary, San Lourenco golf course starts to reveal itself. After the 5th hole, a par-3 and the course's shortest, you're introduced to a dogleg, stroke 1 sixth hole where your main challenge will be to avoid the dense shrub, so make sure you get your distances just right. As you get to the 7th, life is by no chance made easier but you still get the bonus of the outstanding views from this elevated tee before you have to focus on how to get around that green almost entirely surrounded by water. On the back nine, the 12th is the most challenging hole on San Lourenco, featuring a deep chasm along the left of a very narrow fairway. Holes 13th to 16th also face the ocean with the latter proving to be the most demanding par-3, featuring a whole 180 m carry to a shallow green. Seventeenth is, again, extremely beautiful but still falls short of the beauty that awaits you on the last hole. It is a great finale and one that will remain in your memory as it has an excellence that is renowned worldwide. It is, without a doubt, a course for special occasions, that will provide you with unforgettable beautiful moments.
