Vilamoura Old Course
Dom Pedro Old Course – Famous and favorite of many golfers, due to its special charm and charisma.
Right after the first shot Dom Pedro Old Course involves the players in its unique atmosphere, made of matured pine trees, and local fauna. Narrow tree-lined fairways, doglegs, medium-sized greens, and a few bunkers are the challenges presented to the golf player at the Old Course.
Opened in 1969, as the first Vilamoura golf course, designed by Frank Pennink, Dom Pedro Old Course later redesign by Martin Hawtree in 1996, raising it to high levels of quality. A new clubhouse and a large adjacent putting green were also built at the same time. Likewise, all Vilamoura golf courses, the Old Course complies also with the most strict environmental practices in order to preserve its natural ground and guarantee the cleanest environment to all visitors.

Great course and friendly staff, with excellent service. Not sure it’s quite worth the price though. Other courses we played were just as good and half the price.

Course good. Service excellent. It would have been nice to know that clubhouse is being redeveloped. We had a major issue with the shuttle to the hotel as had to wait for nearly 1 hour.

We were warned the facility was being refurbished and the greens had recently had work done on them. They appropriately refunded us some of the fees we paid, which was appreciated. Overall the course is one of our favourites and will definitely return.

It was under renovation when we went but the staff have done their best with temporary facilities. Staff very helpful & friendly. Course needed some work on the greens as they weren’t in good condition.

After being advised by Tee Times maintenance work had take longer due to the dry summer we found the course in good condition compared to other courses that we have recently played, a couple of greens were still recovering (especially the first). The clubhouse is being refurbished but the temporary facilities are fine and all the staff excellent. A very enjoyable round.

Superb course, all natural, no tricks. Decent condition. A few problems with some areas on tbe Greens but reception had warned in advance.
Great customer service, with Club being upfront about greens and apologies for some temp services due to clubhouse rebuild. Reduced buggy rates and free drink on buggy bar to compensate.
Other clubs in area take note on how to treat paying customer (Palmares!!)

This was an awesome golf experience. Teetimes were great. The staff at the old course were amazing from the moment we arrived to the minute we left. I highly recommend this course not just for that but also because it is a brilliant course.

Fabulous course, fabulous staff and facilities.
Picked up in the carpark, treated like royalty by lovely friendly staff
Free driving range and refreshments to get you started.
Beautiful course, undergoing development of car paths currently across the entire course but it didn't spoil our enjoyment as the staff working were very polite and courteous.
