Amendoeira Faldo
A Sir Nick Faldo design golf course opened in 2008 which runs side by side with sister golf course design by O’Connor. A big up and down golf course with elevated greens. The greens at Faldo golf course are not very big and are very fast, you will also find lots of bunkers. Faldo golf course would suit players with a medium and medium low handicap and is a very friendly golf course for ladies golfers enabling them to enjoy a shorter distance of 1.155mt off the yellow tees. Sir Nick Faldo design a nice golf course, that becomes more enjoyable, second or third round as you learned how to avoid the hidden traps. With beautiful views to the countryside, of the Algarve inland, you will see here cacti, wild herbs and olive trees, Sir Nick Faldo's golf course, leaves any player willing to come back and challenge that golf course again. Course design will always be good but definite signs of neglect - grass around bunkers not trimmed, grass growing in bunkers, surrounds of greens very dry with little or no grass growth. Know both courses went through hard times with covid and water issues and still needs time and money spent to make the course worthy of their course designers names.

Played the Faldo course in June 24, found it to be a challenging layout, but very enjoyable. As a lower handicap golfer it was mostly fair and scorable, however the higher handicaps in our group struggled with many of the tougher holes.
The course was in really good condition, the only issue on the day was the groups of holiday golfers before and after us who hit balls with us in range and rarely raked bunkers etc.

Best greens we have played on, very fast. Fairways in good condition, tee boxes need a lot of work.
