Álamos Golf Course
Lying to the north of Portimão it is a neighbor of another Algarve Golf Course, Morgado do Reguengo. When playing Álamos golf course, players can enjoy great views of the Monchique mountains, lakes, and farmland, there is a real sense of getting away from it all there. It’s shorter than Morgado (Par 71) but it has all the features necessary to fulfill the expectations of the most demanding player. More than a test of golf, the Alamos Golf course attests to the harmony which may be achieved between the man-made and nature itself.Undulating fairways, strategically placed bunkers and steeply sloping greens define this wonderful golf course.Pray that your put is hot and the reward is guaranteed

Pleasant staff, course in good order. How many more years before hotels are finished negative surroundings.

Relatively easy course with wide fairways. Green were really good, fairways not very good.

The experience was ruined by really slow play by several groups in front. At least 6 groups behind us just gave up and left the course early. The Algarve needs to really work out what it wants to provide it's customers. If they want to take ever increasing amounts of money for ever decreasing value for entertainment then it will lose out to other countries who have sun, far cheaper courses and some regulation as to the standard of people who are trying to play.

Alamos course has improved greatly in recent years. This is a nice course to start a golfing trip in Algarve

Both Alamos and Morgado are in quite good condition considering the lack of water. Staff all friendly as usual. Tough test of golf compared to a lot of courses.

This is a good course, it’s a bit of a tough walk with some good distances between tees and some steep uphill parts. That said it did not take away from the enjoyment. The course was in good condition, the green were slightly slow but I think that was to protect them in the heat. A totally different layout to that of the other on site course Morgado. It’s well worth playing. Just bring a pitch Mark repairer, I was getting fed up repairing old ones, and I was the first person playing in the day.

Friendly service, buggies ready on arrival, no waiting at the first tee. Nice clubhouse, changing rooms and bar.

Another great round of golf. Quite a challenging course and Oates of it were bone dry but there’s a bit of a water shortage in the Algarve at the moment so can’t be helped. We all enjoyed our day and yet another great round of golf organised by Tee Times. A special mention to the starter, Edward, who managed to track down a set of golf clubs one of our party left at the course and thought he had lost two days earlier

Fantastic day at Alamos, beautiful weather and some wonderfully challenging greens, as always.
