Boa Vista is a beautiful course and no two holes are the same. It’s a very good test of golf and I rate its design highly. You will need a buggy as it’s very long and clearly designed to be ridden rather than walked. The greens are undulating and tricky, medium paced and decent condition. Overall it needs some money spending on it as it’s a bit tired. The practice ground isn’t open due to storm damage and the bunkers are poor. Lots of GUR around. Overall, a great track in modest condition but could be brilliant.

Our group really enjoyed this course again. Greens were fast and true some small areas of fairways were damaged by wild animals but is ground under repair. The course was busy but the marshalls are efficient and asked one of our group to speed up which was justified and done politely. Well worth a visit back 9 is a good test of golf in particular.

Nice course with good greens.Glad I had a buggy(which was 45euros) as there were some long walks from green to tee.8th hole was particularly tough into a strong headwind.Shame about the damage by the wild boars but did not spoil my enjoyment of the course.Had a drink after but no tables were available to sit inside which I wanted to do after being in the sun for what was a 5 hour round.

A wonderful course. I really enjoyed playing the very different, often challenging holes. Nicely shaped with beautiful views. I will come back and play it again.
My advice is to take a buggy. I had planned to walk and was advised not to, which was the right decision.
