The pace of play was very slow due to group ahead of our group was two holes behind. Course marshals should have asked them to move along or let people play through.

Enjoy playing Alamos and Morgado. Would have preferred an earlier teetime as it was half seven by the time we go back to Vilamoura.

Alamos GC was wonderful. Our check-in went smoothly and the staff were very polite to us. And the course was beautiful and in excellent condition. I shot a 90 and my wife shot a 98 - not bad for our first time on a new and challenging courses. We now look forward to our 2nd round today at Amendoeira (O'Connor Course). Course was in good condition with the greens particularly good with a lot of slopes. I did find the course short from the yellow tees from which we played. The course is wide open and therefore length is its only defence. The Par 3s were short, the par 4s were also short with PW's or SW's consistently used for 2nd shots. The Par 5s had decent length. Overall it was a good experience

Nice course to play in a very nice landscape. Good greens but many holes are placed in an “dishonest” part of the green. I mean the area around the hole is not flat!!

The good news is the lakes are the fullest we have ever seen. The course should be in excellent condition all year with all the water they have. The course was in good condition for the weather that there has been. There are some wet areas but the course is very playable. We were glad to play in the sun for the first time in 5 days.

We always enjoy Alamos. It has some great holes and everyone of them is different. The course was in great condition plenty of grass on fairways and greens ran very well. Again if only people would repair their pitch marks. Not just here but other courses should not let people play until they present a pitch mark repairer. But that is our only complaint. We will of course be back.

All good at reception to check in and picking up buggies etc. This and adjacent Morgado were busy but we went 'tee to green' uninterrupted for most of the round. The course was in good condition but our only issue was the greens. For our group they were too challenging in terms of undulations and pin placements, plus they just didn't hold approach shots well. Other than that the course had good variety and interest with the course design and layout.

Course was in great condition. Lush and green grass not burnt like last time i played late 2021. Greens were in amazing condition like carpets and quick. Played and had buggies but played with 2 guys in there 70’s and a guy with a prosthetic leg so was hard for them at times as couldnt drive on some holes and had to park the buggy and walk to the other side of fairway or in the rough. This made the rounds longer and backed up groups. Totally understand trying to keep the course in good condition but would be so much easier if there were more access on holes.

Excellent service; we requested posponement of TEE-time by one day which was accepted without any problem.
However, the course was not in good condition because of the heavy rainfall the days before. Exception: the greens were in top condition.

The condition of the greens are the best of any of the courses we've played in January 2025.

Alamos is the tougher of the two courses here we feel. The Algarve had had a lot of rain recently but the course held up well and the greens were nice and slick and true. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful and so were the bar staff.
A real test of golf especially in the 4 holes it tipped it down and soaked us.

We always like Alamos it’s a great golf course with lots of different style holes.
The greens were a little slow for what we have experienced previously but ran true. We will be back.
However we were behind some members who turned up right on their tee time and took a while to tee off. They had no regard for other golfers around and should know better. A lack of Marshall’s did not help.
We also noted there wasn’t a buggy bar when we did have one on Morgado two days before.
Two of our group paid €50 for a buggy the seats were ripped there wasn’t a sat nav no tees no water. It was a lot of money for mediocre buggy they also could not drive onto a lot of fairways and probably walked further than those carrying as they walked back and forth from the cart path. They should have been informed at reception.

We appreciate the problems caused by lack of water but there were too many times when we had to leave the buggy far from our ball. To get to the ladies tees we often had to step over a rope which quite frankly is dangerous.
I have played Alamos since the year it opened and this was quite disappointing . Possibility to hire electric trolleys would be an improvement .
