Always a favourite course. Main comment is that they need to cut back the bushes on the right side of the 6th green. From the red tees when we were there we could only see 2/3rds of the green and the tee position was on the right too so completely invisible from the reds. A hard enough hole without making it blind and reducing the size of the green!

A well-kept complex with hotel. The site is located in hilly terrain and partly in rows of houses. However, generously laid out, so that this does not disturb at all. The design of the courses is very interesting and invites to visit several times. A buggy is not a bad choice.

As always, I enjoyed the layout and challenge of the course. Unfortunately the pace of play was depressingly slow. When we arrived at the sixth tee there were four groups ahead of us waiting to tee off. It took us two hours and ten minutes to complete the first six holes and almost 5.5 hours in total. A course ranger to keep things moving would help. Also make the sixth a call up hole.

Boavista is quite a long drive for us from Vilamoura. On arrival we had time to hit some practice balls at the range but the practice range was really poor. The pitching and chipping area was good but the only practice putting green was very small. On course the greens were really slow especially compared with Bennamor we played the previous Wednesday and the tees were fairly rough. Overall I think I would not bother to travel to Boavista for future games.

Only down side was that due to some of the par threes being hard for high handicaps this made play very slow and we were walking as opposed to having buggies. We would have waited more in buggies. This just took the edge off the day 5 hours + for the round.

De baan zelf vonden we niet heel bijzonder. Er zijn wel een paar mooie holes. Het was er echter heel erg druk. Op hole 6 (par 3) hadden we drie filghts voor ons die stonden te wachten. -**- We could not make our start time due to circumstances. A call to teetimes and the lady immediately arranged another start time for us. Really great! We didn't find the course itself very special. There are a few nice holes though. However, it was very busy. On hole 6 (par 3), we had three filghts ahead of us waiting.

Once we had found the course all was great. Despite being on the last minute, we were booked in, given our buggy and shown to the first tee in less than 5 minutes. We were paired up with a lovely Dutch couple who had fortunately played Boavista before so acted as very useful guides. The course is excellent with lots of variety and superb Par 3s. Very good food and drinks after the golf also. We will definitely be back soon.

We played this course for the first time and have been very surprised. Very sympatic employees, from reception to caddy master and starter! Congratulation!! Golf course very interesting, challenging and ata good le el of maintenance. The tee boxes could be better, but some rain could improuve the soil. Bunkers are very different because no sand only natural soil. To play a safe bunker shot you need some practice. In general we had a beautiful day at Boavista Resort!

Our party enjoyed this course alot. We've played here before but a few years ago and had forgotten how long it is. You definitely need buggies unless you are supremely fit! The course has a wide variety of challenges and differences and we were reasonably tee to green all the way round. The golf club looks well established and well run and the clubhouse and terrace are very smart. Hopefully we'll be back soon!

I found the reception staff at Boavista to be quite cold and not welcoming. Also we were not told that we would have a third golfer playing with us we had to work this out for ourselves at the first tee as the starter was not there. The course itself was in great condition other than the bunkers which had very little sand in them or had not been raked in some time. The bar staff were very friendly and attentive.

Good friendly welcome from check in, caddy manager and starter. I played the course soon after it opened and wasn’t over impressed but it has now settled down. It’s in very good condition and I had a very enjoyable round. The course was not busy at all and the whole experience was very enjoyable. My only slight criticism would be that the two members in front were very slow but not receptive to letting a single golfer through. However I was glad to be playing and just took my time.

Boavista was the most disappointing round of golf ever in Portugal, greens condition was dreadful, and pace of play exceptionally slow, at one point on the par 3 6th, we saw four separate groups waiting to tee off, course marshal simply drove around waving and smiling at people. We got paired with a retired German couple, very nice people, but very poor std of golf, could not pass 100m shots, when you play to a decent standard, it is not fair on them or ourselves to have this mixture

Boavista was in tremendous condition and was prepared immaculately. The staff looked after us very well (this is normal in the Algarve) and were both helpful and courteous. The one question mark was the quirkey nature of some of the holes, but I am sure that if we played it again, armed with the knowledge gained from our experience this time, it would prove to be more enjoyable.

This was the first time I Have played Boavista and was pleasantly surprised. It is not the longest of golf courses,but presents a challenge inasmuch that you have to put the ball in the right spot in order to to be able to compile a decent score. There are to many blind shots in my opinion,but the more often you play the course the easier it will become. Condition of the course is OK,nothing to write home about but more than acceptable. Very friendly and helpful staff across the golf reception,bar/ food staff and the caddy master. Would definitely go back and play again.

A great course and great facilities but the course should at least inform people that a large group (20+) of ladies had booked all the slots before our tee time. Not in itself a major issue unless (as was the case) the last four ball has lost two full holes in 30 degree + heat and missing the 15th and 16th holes was the only way of achieving a sub 5 hour round. Of course, waving groups through was not a consideration. If the course is busy Boavista....marshall it! Will be back to Morgado and Alamos next year especially given the increasing number of houses and apartments that will add to the pressure on just one course at Boavista.

Lovely course and surroundings. Holes 1-17 all have something different about them......Just sort out an undefined 18th. It's pretty blind/bland and with a wind not helping....pretty near impossible for average golfers. Great club house and facilities. Buggies: Interactive distance to greens, trouble, lay ups were great......controlling where you can go and your speed (and sometimes direction) was a frustration if you're a little wayward!!! Will go there again as a first choice in the area.

All good except for 2 small things We had booked 9.02 tee time but were told very abruptly that we were only off at 9.30 On the course we made a couple of mistakes (only small)about the cart path route and were swooped on by the marshall every time and yet there were 4 players in front (all with power caddies)who made us wait on EVERY shot from the 6th hole onwards and yet the marshall never spoke to them once Only small complaints but you did ask I would play there again

Our favorite. Again and again. it was though annoying that our decently fast playing 4 ball flight was forced by course marshall on a Sunday to let pass four two ball flights. Very unusual and disturbing. However, all in all we still enjoyed this marvellouse couse.
