First class course, facilities and staff.

Historically the Old Course was a firm favourite course of mine in Portugal. I am very pleased to say that having played here again today the fantastic standard it’s sets are exceptional on all fronts and I would recommend it to any golfer who wants to be made to feel special during your time at the course from arrival to leaving the venue.
Aubrey Murnaghan
Greens very poor . Last few had so many pitch marks that I gave up repairing them. Staff excellent, both restaurant and pro shop. Great welcome and great touches with hot towels & bag tags
Barry Peak

Johnny Waugh
Awesome course, no let up. In my opinion best club house in the Algarve. The option to order food and drinks to your cart is brilliant.
Elaine
Fantastic course and the staff are amazing!
.David Wright
Clubhouse and greeting was excellent, as were the practice facilities. Unfortunately two of the tees were out of action and as we were first off there were a few really wet fairways where the balls plugged. The only other issue was the greens which weren’t a patch on the practice green. Lots of holes and sand made them inconsistent in speed. Layout of course was lovely.
Mark Lowings
We loved this course and went back a second time. Was some work being done to tees and greens but that’s a good thing. Defo had the wow factor.
Only reason for 9 was small portions on the food.
Justin Riley
The best course in Vilamoura, excellent service from arrival the golf and club house after . Will definitely return next year . 10/10
Gavin Tucker
Excellent from the moment you arrive. Looked after very well. Although there is a lot of course maintenance taking place.
Colin Fotheringham
Excellent experience. Staff were outstanding. The golf course was in excellent condition.
Mark Greenwood
This was the best course of our week. Great customer experience . Lovely staff, fantastic free driving range with TrackMan . Free coffee and fruit at Tee 1. Challenging course but good for average handicappers too. The renovated club house is charming , retaining the ambience of this great club . 5 stars ????
Neil Clydesdale
Great experience - course in good condition - speed of play good - always a highlight of the trip
Mark Hobson
Our group was blown away by the Old Course. Having played it on numerous occasions in the past we stopped booking it a few years back as the conditioned worsened and the club seemed to be simply having as many visitors per day as possible. This has now completely changed though. The course is stunning, the condition is the best in the area and the club has made the decision to charge more and have fewer tee times per day, which results in a far better experience for those visitors. We will definately be back
Maurice Coreau
The best course that you can play in the algarve . Beautiful layout and conditions are impeccable. Must see and play while here .
Ray Healy
Fantastic experience. The Clubhouse and course are fantastic and staff all very helpful
Geoff Stockle
Stunning course, impeccable service and food was of high quality
Dennis Meredith
Once again The Old Course delivered a brilliant days golf for our group. Course was in immaculate conditions (greens played slower than expected) the staff and atmosphere were 100% as always.
Jerry Zubryckyj
People go out of their way here to ensure you have a great day. Course condition is high calibre and the greens are fast and roll true. Great experience.
Anthony Egan

Neil Kimberley
Course in very good condition. Very welcoming staff in shop, bar, starter, everywhere. Nice touch to have coffee on first tee.
Course is very good, but not spectacular.
Green Fee definitely very high, which gives exclusivity BUT too much for a good not great course

Philip Napleton
Second time playing here and will be coming again for sure. The staff are amazing, the practice facilities are next level with range balls included and trackman on every bay. The starter has a personalised metal bag tag for every player. The course is in fantastic condition with greens teams raking bunkers all over the place and marshalls on the course to check everything is going ok and pace of play is good. The new clubhouse is also fantastic as is the food. Probably not going to be your cheapest round in the area, but absolutely worth it.
Mark Hughes
Excellent and well managed course. Facilities are first class as is the service from the moment you arrive and until you leave. The staff at the pro shop provided an excellent overview of the course, facilities etc. Trackmans have been installed on the driving range, complimentary coffee at the first tee.
Some feel the Green fees high, however I believe they are commensurate with the experience provided.
Steven Johnston
Course was in good condition, we were first out so pace of play was good. Staff very helpful
Lauermann Andreas
A legendary course. Some fungal problems on the greens. Fairways ok. Makes a lot of fun

Richard MacDonald

John Redmond
Brilliant golf course with five star treatment
Thomas Holley
The best course we've played in the Algarve so far (11 so far). Everything seems a bit quieter and more beautiful. The clubhouse is elegant but rather simple. The staff greets guests at the parking lot and truly tries to anticipate their every need. The driving range offers free balls arranged in pyramids and a Trackman for every lane! At tee 1, you receive your score card and personalized Old Course bag tag. The fairways are beautifully laid out, and you don't miss the sea and cliffs at all on this course. The greens are nice and firm and the fastest we've played here so far. You should be in good shape, as there are quite a few elevation changes to overcome (if you don't use a buggy). After the round, we were greeted by staff at the 18th green, who presented us with a certificate for a successful day. The caddy master gave us a wet towel to refresh ourselves. We rounded off the day on the small but lovely terrace with a steak sandwich and a burger. Excellent!!!
Robbie Chisholm
Our favourite in Vilamoura, a must if you haven't played it - new Clubhouse is also excellent.
Philippe Mercier

Philip Kucharski
Wonderful course and lovely people !
Andrew Bligh
Excellent experience; the practice area with the ball tracker was fantastic, the service was friendly and the course was in perfect condition.
Andy Noon
A perfect experience from start to finish, looked after absolutely everything and the course was stunning.
Euan Esslemont
Great venue. Great customer service. Fantastic greens. Was pricey in shop and for some of the food etc.
Steve Threader
Course and overall facilities have gone through a significant programme of improvement since we were last there in 2021. It was in great condition, the trees have been trimmed so you can see more of the course and the driving range facilities are excellent. Great course returned to its former glory.
Andrew Cliff
Treated like Royalty, lovely place to play golf
Paul Beckinsale
Excellent organisation
Chris Mayer
Course was in excellent condition and the staff so friendly
Mike Smith
It is great to see the new clubhouse completed and the course back to the high level it has always been.
Maria McKay
Fantastic course and facilities with the most helpful and friendly staff.
Saynt Jeeva
Amazing course especially after all changes 2 years ago!
David Ashenhurst
From start to finish the experience was amazing, we were greeted in the car park and our clubs were escorted to our buggy. The range with the track man was fantastic. The course was in amazing condition albeit the greens were very quick. Slight complaint would be that our clubs were offered to be cleaned but after a couple of drinks in the bar we went to collect our clubs and they weren’t clean but it didn’t ruin the day in anyway. Would recommend anyone to play.
John Gostage
Everything is Excellent
Monica Robertson
Beautiful course , well maintained, lovely clubhouse & friendly staff , best course I have played so far in Portugal
Simon Reece
I've been lucky enough to play this course many times over the past few years but its now been upgraded and its better than ever. From the greeting when your car arrives at reception, to your clubs carried to the buggies, water stations on the course, cold towels when you complete the round, clubhouse, bar, terrace, pro shop and restaurant have all have a face lift. Course investment has seen improved cart paths, lower limbs removed on trees and bunker upgrades. Back to being the best course in Vilamoura - brilliant.
Andy Mould
Fantastic - will book through you again. Very quick responses from emails. Always keen to help
Danny sneddon
Outstanding in every way.
Brian Hickey
Overall experience in this course is hugely improved in last few years.
Iain Johnstone
Course and facilities were excellent.
Kevin Tuohy
Tee times changed to 12 minute intervals which mostly avoided hold ups. Course in great condition. Service good but not quite as good as when played last year. In conclusion felt it was a little too expensive and would choose alternatives in the future.
Ross Paisley
The course and clubhouse have made wonderful improvements. The customer service was better than 10/10. A minor point would be that while course toilets are not in use, temporary toilets should be provided, especially for the ladies.
David Jones
Amazing venue, beautiful clubhouse and great staff. Got paired with two single figure players, same as us so we had a very good match that we halfed.
Barry Spillane
Excellent course and in great condition, looked after really well there.
James Cosgrove
This place was unreal, class experience.
Tomasz Hamera
Excellent golf course even if the weather was not so good.
Paul O'Donnell
Wow! They have spent plenty of skilled time & money in preparing the course for the 2025 Golf Season! Presentation was superb. Tees, carpet fairways & true greens. As mid handicap (14.0) golfers we really enjoyed the test of this course. More expensive than other nice local courses but worth it. Very friendly & helpful staff in every department. A highly recommended visit!!
Jeannot Mailhot
C’est toute une track de golf
Personnel très agréable
Dennis Meredith
Once again the Old Course exceeded all our expectations. In stunning order and the greens were magnificent. Clubhouse and staff are brilliant. Definitely on the list for 2026
Clive Sims
I have been playing this course since 1987 and it remains a favourite of mine.
Everything was perfect, the course, facilities and staff.
It is getting expensive, my only hope is that it does not get too expensive for me.
Richard schmit
great golfcourse. excellent service. good experience in restaurant.
Sean Murtagh
We were greated well and made to feel welcome. Complimentary driving range was an added bonus The course itself was lovely. The experience and food in the clubhouse afterwards was fantastic
We would recommend this course to our friends
Gerald Nuessel
Großartiger Kurs und tolles Service, sehr freundliches Personal
Dr. Klaus Mittelbach
Everything’s ok, in particular the driving range with the installed trackpad system is something new. Never the less now very expensive.
Geoff Dale
A very good course. However I think the cost is now too much for the course.
Jaroslav Mraz
great course with a friendly atmosphere

Clive Sims
It was a.very good day, the course is in excellent condition.
Marc Goumans
we played 9 holes. NIce and not too long holes, quite short. Clubhouse excellent.
Atmosphere was great, quiet people, no bragging drunken English, free balls and water, coffee and thee, apples etc. Hospitality at his best. Staff very pleasant.
Paul Halewood
This is an excellent course in pristine condition. It is a real challenge and the scenery is lovely. The transfers, the water in the buggies, free range balls, the excellent staff make for a great experience. We really enjoyed playing here and would definitely recommend it.
Tomasz Hamera
Beautiful course. Excelent conditions. Good pace of play. Good greens. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Steven Johnston
Course in good condition, friendly staff, clubhouse refurbishment didn’t affect us.
Claudio Monaci
Old Course it’s a must in Vilamoura: The Course is in perfect playing conditions and, despite the Clubhouse was closed for a refurbishment, the staff was extremeño helpful and kind.
Marc Luthi
Looking foreward to discovering the newly refurbished club house next time. The personal was extremely friendly.
Martin Punch
Excellent Course in Great condition, Limited facilities due to renovations yet still charge rate of 194€ per person, (Exludes cost of €30 each for Buggy) Vilamoura needs to be careful they do not price themselves out of the market if not already done.... Volume of regular visitor golfers shrinking each year and when they go elsewhere it is difficult to bring them back.
Alexis Monville
Excellent course, fantastic people!
Owen Flynn
Great day to day and the complementary coffee and drinks was nice.
Jon Raw
Course in great condition, greens very good. Clubhouse undergoing renovation but temporary set up is excellent. Provide free drinks while the work is done. Staff all good.
Jim Farrelly
The greens have recovered and the course is in excellent condition. Complementary coffee, drink on the course and post round glass of champagne was much appreciated. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the our day at the Old Course.
David Stanhope
Clubhouse undergoing refurb, but temporary facilities worked fine. Course great.
Andrew Thorpe
From start to finish we had friendly reception from staff at reception and bar. In spite of the clubhouse renovation the temporary setup was more than adequate and food and drink service was excellent. The course was in excellent condition and remains a favourite.
Steve Richmond
Great golf course in excellent condition. Our party played it last year and wanted to come back for another go. A bit of refurbishment going on, including the clubhouse, but that didn't cause much of an issue. The staff were great apart from the ''jobs worth'' course marshall. Our shuttle buses, arranged by our Dom Pedro hotel, were very late which meant we arrived virtually on our tee time. We had to book shuttles 1hr 30 mins before tee time and were told they would be 35/40 mins. Turned up 1hr 10 mins later. We therefore had to rush around and teed off slightly late. We then had the marshall tell us we were behind time. Seemed ignorant to the issue when told and part spoiled the experience. Very disappointing. Lower rating due to this.
Philip Napleton
Great course and even better team running it. Temporary clubhouse until Nov 2024 but experience was excellent.
