Speed of play quite slow not helped by 8 minute tee slots. I appreciate that 10 minutes would allow less people on the course but it would improve the customer experience. One of the nicest courses we have played in the Algarve.

Heureusement car dès le 10ème trou, la pluie a commencé si viomemment que nous avons du nous arréter après le 12ème trouvers 17h00. -**- We were able to bring forward our tee time from 3.36pm to 3.08pm and still keep our twilit rate. Fortunately, from the 10th hole onwards, the rain started so violently that we had to stop after the 12th hole at around 5pm.

Gramacho is not a long course but it has some interesting holes and is well worth a visit. The 19th hole has a great view looking down on the 18th hole from the terrace, a great place for a drink and a chat about the round.

First time for us playing Gramacho which was in reasonable condition for January and considering the recent rains. The course is not long off the yellows, and fairly straightforward, however the undulating greens were tricky, with several nasty runoffs catching us out. The slope rating seemed a bit harsh giving an 8 handicap only 5 shots off the yellows. Enjoyed the layout and will return.

We arrived an hour and 20 minutes before our tee time to get a bite to eat and beer before we started. Service was so slow we never got our food before we had to tee off. We weren’t informed by the person at the reception there were no juice buggies so we should take our own water. The course was very tired, patchy in places and some of the greens not great. I’ve played here a few times and it felt like it has gone downhill. I wouldn’t be rushing back.

Staff were very helpful, we had to drive 5 mins down the road to get to the driving range, but we allowed time for this. Buggies are a must, otherwise long walk from 4th to 5th. Restaurant overlooks the 18th green, brilliant views, good food and beer on tap. Highly recommend.

My tee time was 15.18hrs. Plenty of time to play 18 holes I thought before 19.30 when it gets dark. The first 9 holes took me 2hrs 45mins due to slow play in front of me. There was no Marshall to speed up play. I only managed to play 13 holes as it was to dark to carry on. Very nice golf course. Greens needed a little maintenance. Would love to play again but not at this slow pace.

As an organizer for events I had 24 players set to play this course and 10 players at Vale da Pinta in the middle of high season in prime and busiest time during the day for golf courses. Usually the check-in and sorting process with one group, let alone two, at most courses is a bit of a headache and I expected such with two groups at two different venues at the same time. It is times like this that one learns to respect and appreciate the professionalism of reception staff that know their job and are very proficient. Rebecca at reception had us sorted in minutes with check-in at both venues and buggies organized with the caddy master at Gramacho in a very painless manner. Very much appreciated. The caddy master immediately got to task and lined up our dozen buggies and got people set to play with no stress with a great personality and attitude which just puts all in a great frame of mind to get their golf day started. The course itself was in good condition considering the heavy playing pressure on the course in this busy time. A couple greens could use some care, but in general tee to green was in great shape. One can't forget to mention the staff on the terrace afterwards is very good as well. While Gramacho is not going to be mentioned with the elite courses on the Algarve, their staff is exceptional at their jobs and make for a wonderful day of golf.

I love this course and must have played it more than 20 times. As usual we got a nice welcome from Robert the starter and also at Reception. Course was in very good condition and the after golf food and drinks are excellent. The only disappointment is that Pestana Golf chose to move to high season to the 1st September when it has always been the 16th September for many years so the cost was 50% more. Be careful not to bite the hand that feeds.

I have played Gramacho over the past 15 years. The course ,on the face of it, is well presented but the greens are full of weeds, mixed grasses, bare and damaged patches . In many places the fairways are overwatered and waterlogged, making for difficult and sometimes unplayable lies. We love the course and the staff are more than helpful. Gramacho golf course where we played yesterday, 12 players and we want to leverage some interesting features of the golf course. Originally a golf course with 18 greens and 9 fairways, and even today, in many holes you can see two distinct greens or already joined in a huge green. Players using GPS for assistance to the flag, have to pay attention to it because sometimes it gives measurements of a wrong Green. doublecheck the fairway measures to the center of the green.Gramacho golf course has some very interesting holes, really beautiful, such as the 10th, a par 3 flanked by a lake on the left and a bunker on the right that varies between 130 or 160 meters depending on the choosen tees, and was our choice for nearest the pin. The Gramacho golf course is a little short from the amateur tees, so we chose to play from the white tees wich gave us a distance of less than 5800 m and so it was a good challenge. The 17, also with two options of Green, yesterday the flag was on the left side green which forces a 2nd Shot over the water. The 18th hole is a long par 5 with a raised green that allows for many flag positions and is just below the club house terrace. Gramacho golf course is not a golf course for a Masters, but a golf course for amateur players to enjoy, even though they face many challenges to test their skill. The golf course is in excellent maintenance condition, except for the bunkers. Another aspect to highlight is the scorecard, with very good information, including professional tips for each hole. Finally, a compliment to the friendliness of the entire staff, especially the caddy master. It all helps for a day well spent.

This was the best golf experience we had this week (also played Espiche, Vale da Pinta, Santo Antonio). The golf course was in very good shape (both fairways and greens), the course is wide and offers fantastic views, almost like in a huge park with hills and water on 4 holes. Not too difficult for mid-handicappers. Friendly staff, good food selection, and a nice terrace with view on hole 18. Definitely worth playing. Second place for Santo Antonio. The other ok, but nothing special to play. Would definitely recommend Gramacho golf course.

Very easy to book in, having used teetimes for the booking. Course in good condition and reasonably fast greens, though greens quite hard and difficult to get a ball to stop with a full shot in. Round took four and a half hours, which I expect is normal for a fuuly booked course of 4 balls, so wouldn't want to start after one' o'clock in January. Enjoyable holiday golf, not too difficult, but some challenging holes.

Our Tee time was 13.12 and the pace of play was so slow we had to finish in darkness as the round took nearly 5 hours.The two groups in front of us were very very slow yet in front of them were two clear holes. I feel it was inadequately marshalled which was a shame as the course is lovely. and I really enjoyed the actual golf just not waiting to play almost every shot. Anyone playing behind us with Tee times up to 14.30 who had paid the full price would not have been able to complete their round in daylight.

Gramacho was a much better experience than last year when we were unable to finish before dark due to extremely slow play. This year play was much improved but still a 5 hour round. Despite being assured a ranger was in operation we did not see one at any time! The course was in good order and the clubhouse welcoming. Well improved but not just perfect yet.

Second on the tee this morning, which meant getting up really early, but this meant we dictated the pace of play. Nice fairways and greens, easy enough to read the greens. Buggy bar came round which was nice and lovely to have inclusive buggies as the course is hilly in parts. Avery picturesque course and not too challenging. Nice to play at the start of a break to make you feel good about your golf. Just be aware the clubhouse is not open first thing, must open at about 7:30 or 8:00, which is a shame because we were looking forward to the breakfast before playing.

Given that Gramacho is part of the same complex as the Vale do Pinta course, the difference between the two is remarkable - the fairways and general outlook are much better at Gramacho. The bunkers, although lacking sand, were mostly playable after the rain, unlike those at Vale do Pinta. Also, getting away at 7.30am meant we were round in 3 hours, compared to the 5 hours it took previously with a later tee-off. A lovely course, friendly and helpful staff and good value for money at €70/18 holes.

Gramacho is set in a beautiful location. The course is very interesting, and needs good course management in order to score well. The recent heavy rains had an effect on the bunkers which still had casual water standing in them and the sand was compacted hard, in sone cases washed away. Having said that, the rest of the course was in good shape if soft in places, resulting in a few plugged balls. The greens were in great order, still quite quick and even. All in all a good experience .

The course was in glorious condition and was set up in a way to encourage high scoring with some of the yellow tees in a very forward positions. Gramacho has a wonderful finishing hole with the clubhouse perched close to the green and so was a great vantage spot to view from whilst enjoying the buffet lunch.
