Laranjal is very different compared to other courses in the Algarve. It’s immaculately presented with powder white sand in the bunkers perfectly manicured fairways and greens. Organisation and transfers were excellent. All 10 of our group agreed that Laranjal was their favourite course of those we played on this trip. The course is a fair challenge with generous fairways and true greens. On course marshal and the “timer” on the buggy screen ensured a decent round time. The clubhouse is quite small in comparison to others but is perfectly adequate. Recommend playing if you get the chance. Rated 9 only because of the slightly smaller clubhouse.

We found Laranjal to be more open compared the the quinta courses,but it was my favourite. 5 ***** The only issue we had was the price of buggies set at €55 and you were not allowed to drive on the course. I found this pointless and slowed down the speed of play, I feel a rate of €30 would reflect this. I do not know if this rule was set due to the amount of rainfall or it is the standard rule. So overall we all had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Quinta do lago as a most to every golfer looking to play within the Algarve area. Finally I would like to thank everyone for their hospitality.

It took five hours and forty five minutes to play this course. This length of time is mainly due to eight minute intervals between tee times. We pay a lot of money to play this course and Quinta do Lagos persistence with eight minute tee times is not acceptable. We will not play this course again.

Course & greens were fantastic, love the course. But no buggees were available when we teed off got them on the 4th. Round took 5 hours 40 minutes. Spent 15 minutes waiting at the tee box for some holes. We saw a 6ball playing together. 2 groups ahead of us were playing music & drinking for the whole round very disappointed with the rangers for not pulling them up on there time keeping & doing there jobs. If Laranjal what big money for golf rounds then they should make the golf experience more professional.

Fantastic greens and fairways, the bunkers were in amazing condition and were really well placed around the course. We actually had a flat tyre on our way there and in asking for help to find a garage the team actually changed they tyre for us. Totally didn’t need to, it was just a brilliant touch. Can’t thank them enough. Made to feel welcome, made to enjoy the day. Highly recommended. Loved every second.

As the organizer of a group of 20 I have to applaud and extend my thanks to the staff of Laranjal for their professionalism, grace and patience in getting our players prepared and off the first tee. The service at Laranjal is exemplary and deserves commendation. Saying that, the course itself is nothing short of spectacular. Approaching every tee box for the first time at Laranhal is 18 wow moments which a golfer can get caught up in the asthetics of every hole and miss the dangers waiting to make a shambles of a scorecard. The course was in as good of condition as any I have ever played and is a true test of golf. The greens are quite large and from experience, poor approaches leaving long putts with level changes and undulations will challenge the best of putters. That being said, the greens roll very true and those that get themselves to a respectable position on the greens will have an opportunity to make a putt without bobbles or bounces affecting the outcome. Absolutely a beautiful golf course that deserves the hype and delivers.

Laramjal is probably the best presented course in the area. It is in pristine condition, manicured and the tees and fairways are immaculate. When we played the greens had just been sanded and treated and whilst they were true they were very slow and somewhat inconsistent. I am sure this will work through quickly and they will return to prime condition. It was the slowest round we played during our week in the Algarve, at four and a half hours for a 2 ball it is on the edge of acceptable. The cause was a mix of players in front of us some of whom had buggies and some who were walking, as the course was not busy this could have been avoided by letting those with buggies tee off first. This course holds plenty of challenge in every department and should keep golfers of every level on their toes. The staff were helpful and attentive. A banker for every visit to the Algarve.

Plenty of soft sand in every bunker, (and I can attest to that!), fairways beautifully kept and the greens unbelievably fast, but true. Very friendly service throughout and this golf course is a must if you are on the Algarve and looking for a stunning place to play golf. We’ve lived here five years but treated ourselves today to this golf course for the first time. The green fees are very expensive, otherwise we’d play this wonderful course far more regularly.

Laranjal was in excellent condition and we all very much enjoyed the course. However we thought that the staff were rather unfriendly compared with other courses we have visited and played. We were told by the Course Marshall that we "had to hurry up" when both our group and the group in front were being held up on every hole. The buggy system was showing that we were "4 minutes behind the pace" after the 9th and by the 18th this was down to 2 minutes.

The course was fine but we did not get to complete our round as light was fading. for 16 hole it took 5 hours 30 minutes which is really poor and we relayed this to course staff. They should not take bookings that do not allow groups to complete the round and this spoiled our experience.

Great course, my playing partner prefered it over Quinta South, and i could see why. i really enjoyed it too, although didnt strike the ball as well as playing the South, still managed 33pts though. The course was in fantastic condition, and the greens were super slick, hence the several 3-putts! Will definately look to play this course again when i return next year. Clubhouse very friendly and assertive. Would request to play off the white tee's next year to make it more of a challenge.

Gobsmacked that buggies were in short supply and not available at 1.30..Did not know we had to book as did not on other courses...but staff pulled out all the stops and got 4 as people completed their round...staff were very good in helping. Very difficult as buggies 'disabled' if we left a path ..and did not make a pleasant experience.or poor shower facility..only 2 !!!!!! and we wet and cold....... As downpours came and we were rained off after 9 holes,...staff very good gave us a voucher for a 9 holes return...this will bring us back again for 18....
