Challenging undulating golf course in good condition. Unfortunately very slow round at 5 hours 20 minutes caused by course layout, difficulty for higher handicappers and long walks from green to tee. A few blind holes which are unfair and very small greens with pin positions placed on ridges. When I questioned pace of play I was simply told, “it’s the season so very busy.” There are obvious measures to improve pace but club seem unwilling to do so. I would not play here again simply because of the pace of play.

We had a great time at Chaparrel. Tee time was shared with a lovely couple from The Netherlands. Check I was quick, friendly and efficient. Course was beautiful but tricky as narrow and hilly. Definitely Italy need a buggy although in winter these must stay on the pathways so not allowed on fareways. Beautiful clubhouse. Good food friendly service. Estupendo!

Quick and easy check in at the pro shop and buggies provided promptly. Course was generally in excellent condition, however the greens were very poor. Pitch marks not repaired & lots of bare patches. Aside from this a very good course and a challenge for all golfers

Was a bit frustrating they didn’t have buggies for our 2.50/3.00/3.10 tee time so couldn’t get on the tee on time or start. It meant we finished in the dark and the starter had a cheek to tell us that we needed to be off the course 7pm when sunset was 7.30

Chapparal Golf ist ein herausfordernder , interessanter Platz für eher bessere Golfer. Für Spieler ab Hcp 20 sind die blauen Abschläge zu empfehlen. Bei unserer Runde waren Teeboxen und Fahnenpositionen beide schwierig platziert, zudem gelb öfter noch Richtung weiß gesteckt. Nervig ist nur, dass man auch bei frühzeitiger Anreise die Buggys erst 10 Minuten vor Abschlag erhält und bis dahin sein Golfgepäck durch die Gegend zur Range oder Putting Green schleppen muss.

Challenging course, if a little contrived on some holes. Enjoyable nonetheless. Pace of play was again slower than I'd have liked (4h50m) but the quality of our golf on the day probably didn't help! Of the three courses we played this was probably in the poorest condition. That is not to say it was bad just not as sharply presented as the other 2 (Cabopino and El Paraiso).

El Chapparal ist einer der Plätze, die man nicht als Heimatplatz haben möchte, aber trotzdem mit seinen Herausforderungen mal gespielt haben sollte. Natürlich mussten die Buggys auf den Wegen bleiben, aber sonst war der Platz in einem guten Zustand, die einzelnen Bahnen sehr abwechselungsreich und für Anfänger eher zu schwierig. Die meist engen Bahnen erforderten ein präzises und taktisches Spiel, wobei Platzkenntnisse sicher sehr hilfreich sind. Es bleiben genug Eindrücke, um sich nach der Runde auf einer netten Terrasse über die gespielte Runde auszutauschen.
