Quinta do Peru was the first golf course built in the Azeitão region between the castles of Sesimbra and Setubal, which is well known for its palaces, its wines and cheeses.|The course, with its many trees and wild flowers, offers a varied start.|The most difficult test on the course, hole 16, a Par 3 over 200 metres, where one needs to get over a lake to reach the green. After eighteen holes there is a number of golf-related activities available and also a clubhouse providing excellent views over the surrounding landscape, with the imposing and beautiful Arrabida mountain range in the background.

-**- Very beautiful place that we have played several times during our holidays since 2006. With old cork oaks and pine trees. Well maintained with very fast greens!!!! Some of the greens are very demanding! A downhill putt can lead to disaster. Bunkers well maintained as long as no golfer was in them!!! Something has changed since Corona!!! Very attentive, unobtrusive greenkeepers. Friendly staff in the secretariat.

The welcome at the reception was very friendly. During the round I met with some people of the staff who were inspecting the areas between the holes (paths, toilets, waste bins, ...) to check where improvements could be done which is a great thing because they care about the course. From green to tee: 10/10 for the greens (super fast which not everybody likes), 8/10 fairways (some areas could be bettered) and 6/10 tee boxes (a lot of tee boxes had bald spots and were not mowed). We had a nice round of golf on a beautiful golf course with some nice views of the area. We certainly come back.

All went well. We were due to play Tuesday but asked to postpone 24 hours in view of the forecasted rainy day. QdP accommodated us without any issues and we played Wednesday in more pleasant conditions.

Really enjoyed playing the course again. The chipping and bunker practice area needs some work.
The cost of practice balls (at €6 for 48 balls) is quite high, especially given the poor quality of the practice balls
