Parcours beaucoup trop bruyant avec le passage continu des avions au dessus de nos têtes. Dommage, car le tracé est intéressant. -**- The course is far too noisy with the continuous passage of planes overhead. Too bad, because the route is interesting .

We were due to play at 12pm and got pushed back to 1.20pm due to a tournament. Then had a very very slow round. The greens were exceptionally good but the course is tired looking and unspectacular. Won’t play it again.

You can see the course is old with a lot of history. It is not maintained very well. Litter and debris everywhere. The water features look abandoned. The greens are good, and fast and you can tell given attention. Not many players know how to or don’t care to fix ball marks on the green, but this is true of all public courses. The pro shop staff is very nice/courteous and helpful, especially since there are many different nationalities playing here.

Nice old fashion course, quite flat and not so challenging. Green were Ok although could be in better condition. The main point is the continuous noise due to the planes. The course is right in line with the runways of the airport !

Service provided by staff was very good. Course was in general good condition, although not the most eye catching on the Costa del sol.

Superb Putting Surfaces

All fine and as expected. For a mid-HCP player (24) a fair course experience. The reception was very supportive / flexibel / helpful in using the most joyable teetime between other flights for a relaxed round, not pushing others and also not being pushed. The layout and scenery is quite enjoyable, especially, when comparing what you would experience by mid of February in Germany. The "plain spotting" was not as disturbing as expected, so most likely it was not the last visit at this course. The quality of the fairways, surrounding areas and the "guidance" for guests not being aware of the latest changes / construction works affecting the play could maybe improved a bit. Nevertheless, overall it was a pleasant experience, as long as you do not set your expectations to "St. Andrews" standards ;-)

Has a fun day of golf. Check in was easy. Rental club price was higher than expected. We were given men’s clubs and assured that they were ladies.

Was raining quite heavily unfortunately when we played this time. Course not in great condition apart from greens.

very good

Many divots on greens that players do not fix, pretty muddy fairways on certain areas, and planes are constantly flying overhead from Malaga airport.

Next tee signs could be clearer.

The staff are 100% excelente, would not hesitate to recommend them and the course , the only downfall was that where to many dead leaves all over the greens + there was not much attempt to remove them i.e with a blower or even try to hover them up that is why I put a 8 out of 10

Checking in was so easy, clubs are excellent would definitely come here again

This course overpriced for what you get, I have played better municipal courses. No character to the course and staff were not the most courteous.

john marshall 2017-11-06
played original 18 hole layout 29th October, course in great condition, fun to play although pace of play slow, easy to walk, no buggy required, and you can entertain yourself by fixing the numerous pitch marks on every green.

Parador Malaga Golf

The Parador de Malaga golf course dates all the way back to the 1920's and is the oldest course in Costa del Sol. Having undergone some transformations since, the last one is signed by renowned architect Tom Simpson, who has also designed Muirfield and Turnberry courses.

With a length of 6259 meters, this 72 par course encompasses four par 5, ten par 4 and four par 3. With an excellent seaside location, players will benefit from the nice views across the ocean as well as enjoy the diverse fauna that is present throughout the length of the course.

The Parador Course is not a sightseeing course and although it is quite flat it does require quite a lot of planning from the tee boxes, featuring tight exits, thus allowing for a very small margin of error. Be it by the narrow fairways sheltered by bunkers strategically placed at the drive's landing area, or by the slopes of the latter, which sometimes cause the ball to roll out of the fairway, making that 2nd shot that much more difficult, these are just a couple of challenges you'll be faced with as you set off.

You are most likely to find that the most comfortable holes are the par-5, which give you the opportunity to recover and are not too lenghty, featuring generous greens to welcome a long shot. On the other hand, par-3 and par-4 are mostly quite long, especially nbr. 15 and nbr.18, so much so that if you are against the wind, your 2nd shot has to be taken with a long iron and I would even say a fairway Wood.

For me, the most interesting hole is nbr. 7 par 4 dogleg left. Here, because the green is sheltered by bunkers on the left and a lake on the right, ideally you will have to play your drive to the right of the fairway to get your angle and since the green is also slightly sloped, you will have to make this a very gentle shot in order to prevent balls from going in the water.

It is, without a doubt, a challenging course for all of us players who enjoy long holes with narrow fairways and greens with many lines, at times hidden by the shade of the trees, displaying high-quality sand bunkers, which allow us to work the ball.

I had a great time! Overall, it is undoubtedly an experience I want to repeat and one I highly recommend.
