La Hacienda Alcaidesa Links Golf San Roque, Andalusia
The Links course at the Alcaidesa Golf Resort orignally opened in 1990 then remodeled in 1999 to improve its playability by widening fairways and ironing out some of the more severe undulations on the greens. It is an undulating cliff top seaside course that enjoys stunning views over the Mediterranean, the Straits of Gibraltar and the distant Atlas Mountains in North Africa. The course has an out and back routing with the first four holes heading towards the shoreline and the mile-long beach. Holes 5 to 14 then play out along the coast before the fairways head back inland to complete the round in front of the clubhouse. La Reserva at Sotogrande Sotogrande, Andalusia
La Reserva Club de Golf is the latest prestigious golf course to be constructed in this corner of the Costa del Sol, joining near neighbours Valderrama, Sotogrande and San Roque. Designed by the American architect Cabell B. Robinson, the golf course only opened for play in 2004. It is located within two valleys, a long course, nearly 7,400 yards from the back tess. It has wide fairways and large greens and water features. San Roque Club Old Course San Roque, Andalusia
San Roque Old Golf Course opened in 1990 and was designed by David Tomas in collaboration with owner Asahi Kanko. San Roque Old is an 18 hole, 72 par championship golf course consisting of 6134 metres with spectacular mountain views. The first 9 holes are characterised with Oak forests and the last 9 with difficult water hazards to avoid. You need to be accurate at San Roque Old due tight fairways and undulating greens.
