Very low pace from many of the flights, so that we ended up at more than 5 hours for our round (no marshall on the course). Too many peopel on the course for a comfortable round. Very nice course with great sea views.

My personal favourite course in the area. Easier than West Cliffs, views are stunning, course was in fantastic condition when we played. We had a problem with the buggie running out of power but staff responded incredibly quickly with a replacement. Fabulous course !

We love your course, clubhouse and your kind staff. Still we missed a marshal on the court. Our playing time exceeded 5 hours due to too slow players in front of us. At points we were 8 players waiting on tie! Directions to next tie could be improved But we’ll be back for sure ????

We've played Praia del Rey several times now and always enjoy the course layout and variety of holes with superb views from the holes by the ocean. While most of the holes are playable for all levels of golfers there are a few holes which are very/too challenging. For example, the par 3 eleventh was 180 yards uphill with no bail out left or right of the green and a huge slope from back to front making 3 and even 4 putts a distinct possibility - too difficult even for a single handicap player. The fairways were very wet when we played it on 2nd Nov making the course extremely long so suggest you take this into consideration when selecting the tees to play from. Overall, a very enjoyable game with breath taking views from several of the holes and very good value for money.

A very interesting course and particularly the holes along the beach are amazing (despite the wind that blow constantly). The layout is nice, the course is beatiful and playable by everyone, although more visible indications about the sequence of the holes would greatly help new players on the course and, above all, the speed of the game. The staff is kind and professional, demonstrating the habit of dealing with foreign players. Probably the only flaw is given by a rather poor proshop, especially of sports equipment (putters, set of irons, woods and so forth) while abounding in clothing.

Unique course with some inland parkland type holes and then about 7 ocean side holes that are stunning. If the entire course was like those 7 holes, it would surpass even pebble beach in beauty. The parkland holes are nicely designed as well but when you have 7 holes like that on the ocean, it is hard to appreciate the parkland holes. Would definitely play again.

The downside was that we could only get the buggies 10 minutes before our tee-time, which caused some unnecessary stress.

A stunning beautiful golf course in excellent condition, holes 13,14 &15 by the Atlantic coast were magnificent. Buggies were very basic with no GPS navigation,ice cooler or divot mix. They admitted lacking inventory of buggies as we had to wait 5 minutes before our tee time for them to come in from morning round to be used. The restaurant food was outstanding with very friendly staff and great patio views. Unfortunately there seems to be a serious management issue with slow pace of play. We waited for the group ahead to tee off on the front 9 holes as they had delays. To make it worse the pro shop put out a foursome to start on hole 10 as it was getting later in the day instead of starting on hole #1 . The foursome two groups ahead of us phoned the pro shop for the manager as there was now three foursomes waiting at the hole #11 tee blocks.They sent a martial/ranger out to investigate who was previously tending the bar buggy and he started getting mouthy and disrespectful to the golfers.I thought a brawl was going to break out and the two foursomes walked off the course back to the clubhouse with the martial. The group behind us quit after 9 holes as well as we never saw them again,it was a real fiasco. Seems like management is more concerned with the extra money squeezing in more players than a golfer having a pleasant experience. It was now great that the course opened up to us but we still caught up with the group of walkers put in three groups ahead of us by the 16th hole. With a 2:50 tee time we finished up at 8:30 p.m. The group ahead said their round was 6 1/2 hours the previous day. As a golf course owner I feel they have to extend the tee times to a 15 minute spread for all the walkers or make buggies mandatory for that course to keep pace of play flowing as it should.

Love the course, it’s challenging & long but you can have a good round, most holes you have forgiveness, if your a beginner you will find the course challenging, it’s a long course, the course requires strategie planning on the tee blocks, your dealing with the ocean on the back nine which is absolutely stunning, you have to play the wind for sure, the course is well groomed and in great shape.

We have not played Praia Del Rey for 6 months, bearing in mind the amount of rainfall this area has experienced the course was in great condition. Clearly a lot of work has taken place to improve the Golf course. My only comment is that the Green Fees in this area of Portugal are becoming very expensive.
