The C.G. Escorpión was founded on April 26, 1969, being the first President of the club D. Enrique Puigmoltó, Viscount of Miranda. During the first years the Club was located at the golf course of Manises, to later move to the El Saler field where it remained under a lease until 1975. In 1972, the Board of Directors chaired by Mr. Joaquín Serra Belda reached an agreement to purchase the land of the Masía de Torre en Conill in Bétera. In 1974 the works began and in 1975 the field is provisionally opened to the members. The design of the 18-hole course, with the possibility of a second phase to expand to 27, was designed by the American architect Ron Kirby. The 19th of May, 1976, the golf course was officially inaugurated with an amateur competition and at the end of that same year it hosted the Spanish Professional Championship, in which Severiano Ballesteros, Manuel Piñero, Antonio Garrido, José Mª Cañizares and the rest of the components participated of the Invincible Navy. From that moment the CG Escorpión has been the scene of the best competitions in our country, highlighting the 1980 Spanish Open and the Amateur Spanish Championship in 1984. In 2000 the works of extension of the route to 27 holes were started, with the design of Alfonso Vidaor, who was also the author of the project and execution of the Pitch and putt inaugurated in 2005. With these works the current field of 27 holes was completed and 9 pairs 3, driving range, 2 putting-green, and 2 chipping-green. The rehabilitation of the top floor of the Masía was carried out during 2004 and currently houses the halls and restaurant of the club. In the golf area, our club has not only stood out for hosting important competitions, but also the C.G. Escorpion have come out great players. There are many Members who appear in the medal winners of the Valencian Community, Spain and Europe championships, in both female and male categories, from children to seniors. ...

Excellent service at the restaurant but the caddie master was not friendly at all. He should be send to some basic customer service course, didn't have any idea what is good or even decent customer service.
The course itself was in good condition and nice course. Read more about Bonalba Golf Course

Lovely course with spectacular views, you need a buggy, unfortunately there were none available when we arrived and pull trollies are extremely hard work because of the steep terrain and long walks between greens and tees in many cases, particularly when you are 71! The only issue was slow play because of one group about 3 ahead of us. No sign of any Marshalls. Food and service at the clubhouse good. I would have loved a drinks cart on the way round. We got rained off on the first day but returned the following day to play 18.
Greens were in a very bad state but I believe they were hit with a very bad disease last year so that explained how bad they were.
Staff in the pro-shop and clubhouse were very helpful and the food was excellent in the Jarcanda restaurant.
One word of note if you do play this course make sure you have your own transport organised as we were waiting nearly 4 hours for taxis. Read more about Altea Golf Club
