Alicante Golf sits on the edge of the city near Playa de San Juan, a Seve Ballesteros design that opened in 1998 and works like a green lung amid the surrounding development. It holds the distinction of being one of the first courses in Spain to earn both ISO-14001 and Q-Plus environmental certification, a genuine rarity built on thousands of replanted trees and careful water management.
The layout itself is the real signature: six par-3s, six par-4s and six par-5s, arranged so no two consecutive holes share the same par, a configuration believed to be unique on the Iberian Peninsula. Five lakes come into play across twelve holes, including an S-shaped lake, Seve's own initial, that curls around the 9th green. The course keeps its personality right through the back nine, where golfers on the 14th must clear a stretch of genuine Roman ruins to reach the green.

Nice Golfcourse, the greens are a litte slow and the staff in the golfshop could be more friendly. The course is walkable. But you have to go through a steep tunnel a few times. If your condition is not at it's best take a buggy.

The car park is very small and was full when we arrived. We were in quite a large vehicle and were very lucky when a similar sized vehicle vacated a space, otherwise parking could have been a problem.

Great course but tight, greens and fairways were in really good condition.
Only thing I didn't like is the warning from the pro shop to not leave any valuables in your golf bag which kind of had you on edge all the time
