The Links Golf Course was designed by Pete Dye and opened in 1976, five years after his seaside masterpiece Teeth of the Dog, set further inland at Casa de Campo. The course underwent a complete renovation between May 2011 and March 2012, with greens fully re-laid, bunkers refurbished and a new irrigation system installed throughout.
The layout leans into a traditional British and Scottish character: wide, doglegged fairways move through moderately hilly terrain, with several large waste bunkers testing the front nine at holes 5, 6, 7 and 9. Water becomes the defining challenge on the back nine, coming into play across five consecutive holes and demanding accurate positioning rather than raw distance. It's widely regarded as the most approachable of Casa de Campo's three Pete Dye courses, a fine round in its own right and a natural companion to the tougher Teeth of the Dog and Dye Fore.
