Ribagolfe Lakes Golf Course (ex Riba I)
Ribagolfe I, is located 30 minutes drive east of Lisbon city centre, set within a forest of cork oak trees and the design makes full use of the sweeping undulations of the site, providing many spectacular golf holes across valleys and lakes. You can be sure that you will be surrounded by nothing but nature.|Ribagolfe I, has been created as a potential tournament venue. The fairly narrow fairway corridors through the cork oaks place the emphasis on accurate shot-making rather than length while large bunkers increase the challenge, particularly around the greens. Ribagolf is considered to be a sensational golf course, in which the natural element becomes an important part of the game and provides fresh challenges for even the most demanding of golfers.

Der Platz wer in einem guten Zustand. Die Grüns schnell. Die Bunker gut. Die Fairways waren sehr „flauschig“. Mann ist hervorragend beim Schlagen unter den Ball gekommen. Das der Platz etwas abseits liegt, wird er nicht so frequentiert. Das hat aber den Vorteil, man spielt völlig ohne auf jemanden Rücksicht nehmen zu müssen. Wir spielen Ribagolfe 1 noch mal Ribagolfe 2 auch und freuen uns schon darauf. -**- The course was in good condition. The greens are fast. The bunkers good. The fairways were very ''fluffy''. It was easy to get under the ball when hitting the ball. The course is a bit off the beaten track, so it is not so busy. But that has the advantage that you can play without having to take anyone into consideration. We play Ribagolfe 1 again Ribagolfe 2 too and are looking forward to it.

Very friendly staff. Layout of the course very interessting, hard to play when wet (as it was on 19/10/2022). Follow the signs and not the GPS!

Entretien, departs,greens parfait. Les golfs sont au milieu de nulle part ,et au calme. Très agréable

Course was unkept, fairways very very poor, we played placing on fairways. Greens where immaculate and quick. Has a look of suffering from lack of money due to covid. The Oaks course was in very good nick.

First time playing Riba Lakes and was hugely impressed with the course design. Although it was a little less manicured than Praia del Rey or West Cliffs the greens were still good and we all really enjoyed it. The lower green fee was compensation for there being no clubhouse. I will certainly return next time I go to Portugal.

Nice course. Quite long, but reasonably forgiving. Back 9 involves a few really good holes with water hazards. Slightly weird set up with the clubhouse a 10 minute drive from the courses. Clubhouse very welcoming and friendly and good food.

Clubhouse is far away from the actual golf course and the atmosphere around the course is not worth a higher rating. But the golf course itself is well worth the money. Price/course rating for me is a 10, for the price of nearly half that of other courses in the Lisbon area you get nearly perfect greens and very good fairways. Definitely worth a visit once more.

I have given 'Riba' a 10 star rating mainly as a consequence of an outstanding act of customer service. One of our group left two golf jackets and a pair of expensive sunglasses in his golf buggy after finishing his round. The following day I received a call from the reception staff at 'Riba', not only to confirm all the items had been found, but also that they would be delivered to the course we were playing the following day. Sure enough, when we arrived at Quinta do Peru all of the items were there waiting for us. Very impressive.
Aside from that, the course was also in very good condition and offered a stern test of golf for all of us.

A very demanding golf course, which we enjoyed enormously. Might be a little too testing for higher handicaps, but Ribagolfe 2 offers an easier alternative. The course is very remote and there is little in the way of local infrastructure. We saw only two other people playing the day we were there. The clubhouse is very basic, and quite a long drive from the practice area and first tees. The course itself, however, was in terrific condition. Worth a visit in our view
