Vall D'Or Golf Course was designed by Californian architect Bradford Benz. The original nine opened in 1986, with a second nine added between 1991 and 1993 to complete today's par-71, 18-hole layout near Cala d'Or on Mallorca's south-east coast.

The round moves through two distinct landscapes: undulating fairways through pine, almond and olive trees on the holes that now open the round, and wider, more rugged terrain descending toward the coast on the original nine. The par-5 3rd is the course's standout, an elevated tee shot down through a valley to a green set into the hillside by natural rock boulders, widely rated one of the most beautiful holes on the island. The par-3 18th closes things out in front of the clubhouse with sea views, while the par-4 14th, nicknamed ''Bheriello,'' is the toughest test on the card.
