Son Termes Golf Course Bunyola, Balearic Islands
Son Termes Golf Course was designed by the Harris Group and José Rodríguez, opening in May 1998 in the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage mountain range just 10km from Palma. It's widely regarded as one of the most ecologically integrated courses on the island, its routing built around the natural terrain rather than against it. The front nine plays across two lakes with birdie chances for the bolder player: the par-4 1st can be driven by long hitters, and the par-5s 5th and 6th are reachable in two. The real test comes at the par-4s 4th and 10th, both climbing uphill to raised, bunker-guarded greens that punish a loose tee shot.
