Villaitana Levante forms one half of the Meliá Villaitana resort's golf offering, laid out on high ground above Benidorm with the Mediterranean and the Sierra de Finestrat both in view. Jack Nicklaus, working through Nicklaus Design with Ramón Espinosa García, brought a championship American style to the site when it opened in 2005, and it has since hosted the European Senior Tour's Costa Blanca Benidorm Senior Golf Masters.
The course sits outside any surrounding development, so the round unfolds in genuinely open country rather than between rooftops. Wide fairways give way to sharply shaped greens, with three lakes and more than a hundred bunkers set to catch anything loose off the tee. It is a course that rewards accuracy over aggression, and one that keeps its challenge fresh from the first hole to the last.
The resort's practice academy, driving range and locker room are all close at hand, making Villaitana Levante an easy fit for a longer golf break. Book a round here for championship-calibre golf with the sea and mountains as a constant backdrop.

Great course but tough and I have never seen so many bunkers in my life on a golf course...

Very nice to play a par 72 course. The fairways were very dry in comparison to Poniente, but still nice long distances to play and fast fairways and greens
