Mar Menor Golf Course 7.67 Km
18 holes, par 72
Play the Jack Nicklaus trail at Saurines Golf Course, Spain.
Saurines is an 18 hole, par 72, desert-style golf course but with a links philosophy, is designed by Jack Nicklaus. It is designed with influences of the Nicklaus golf course in Lake, Las Vegas. Its main characteristics are undulating fairways and greens among desert dunes, few bunkers and a great 6 hectare lake. Holes 9 and 18 go around the lake, which guarantees an exciting final.
It measures a maximum of 6,498 metres. For long hitters, the par 5 holes are reachable in two, being under 480 metres, but you will have to be accurate as there are hazards left and right of the greens. The three par 3 holes are either long with two over 182 metres in length and although the 6th is short at 126 metres, the shot is played over water to a narrow green.
Saurines golf course is a great addition to the golf courses in this area and is well worth a visit.
A great new course that opened at the beginning of 2011
A challenging golf course especially for greens. Almost all fairways are surrounded by a waste area so keep your ball in the fairways. However, there are also waste areas in the middle of the fairways... Course is in good condition. Nice experience even if my game didn't go well…
Nice Course ! Good Green´s
Amazing course. Excellent condition. Greens were fantastic. Absolute pleasure to have played.
It looks nice but it doesn't play so nice: very narrow course. Little room for error. Bumpy fairways. The green are tough but good. Nice putting and chipping grens but NO driving range!
Restaurant closed, as the restrooms after the round. Great course but amenities a dissapointment.
A bit of a boring course. Maintenance almost complete, greens very slow. Pace of play slow
Very good Desert course with sometimes a deja vu of the Alhama Signature holes (Nicklaus design????). Very nice scenery. I prefer the back nine (less buildings). The fairways and greens were (this afternoon) very hard, thus difficult. Interesting enough to return.
