The course was in great condition for 13 holes. The last 5 holes were being worked on by green staff. They were heavily sanded and the machinery used left tyre tracks. What could have been a great left us disappointed.

The staff in the reception, bar and caddy master were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately the course was in terrible condition. Greens, fairways and tee boxes need a lot of work to bring them up to an acceptable standard. The design of the course is good as the course navigates through very large mature trees.

We enjoyed another round @ the Wentworth of Portugal like it is often called. Although the course is better maintained then Aroeira Challenge (Aroeira II), there is room for improvement to get a rate of 8+. It’s not possible to clean up the pineappels every week but there is also a lot of small lumber which can be removed. We got a very warm welcome by 2 young ladies and the staff at the bar were very friendly and helpfull. Until next time.

Der Unterschied zwischen Aroeira 2und 1 war sehr deutlich. Ein gepflegter Platz, Gute Grüns, und Bunker.
Einen großen Kritikpunkt habe ich trotzdem.
Dieser geht an die Golfspieler die vor uns gestartet sind. Wir sind um 11:04 Uhr los.
Die Greenkeeper sind nicht Eure Lakaien.
Überall auf der Welt werden die Bunker nach dem Schlag geharkt.
Es war am 11.04. recht sonnig. Und die Spuren waren frisch!!. Eben so waren die Divots sehr frisch. Die dritte Beanstandung sind die Pitchmarken auf dem Grün. Kein Anfänger verursacht Pitchmarken. Hallo Profis bückt euch!!!
Tipp an Aroeira. Lasst öfter den Marshall über den Platz fahren. Dann aber mit Konsequenzen!!!!
Wir haben es 2013 an der Algarve gesehen. Konsequenz ist da sehr hilfreich!!!

-**- The difference between Aroeira 2 and 1 was very clear. A well-kept course, good greens, and bunkers.
Nevertheless, I have one big criticism.
This goes to the golfers who started before us. We left at 11:04 am.
The greenkeepers are not your lackeys.
Everywhere in the world the bunkers are raked after the shot.
It was quite sunny on 11.04. And the tracks were fresh! So were the divots very fresh. The third complaint is the pitch marks on the green. No beginner causes pitch marks. Hello professionals bend down!!!
Tip to Aroeira. Let the marshal drive over the course more often. But then with consequences!!!!
We saw it in the Algarve in 2013. Consistency is very helpful there!!!

nice, challenging Course. Toilets after Green 11; if this Information was given on Reception or on the Score Card, we wouldn't make the way from Green 9 to the Clubhouse and back to Tee 10. Restaurant in the Clubhouse very good and friendly.

We have played here many times over the years. The course is now in the best condition I have seen. Fairways and greens excellent. Clubhouse facilities still a bit basic, but overall well worth a visit. Very good value for money and a good test of golf for all.

I have always liked this golf course, which has something to offer players of all standards. There has clearly been significant investment in the course over the last few years, as it is now consistently presented to a higher standard than I experienced at the time of my first visit eight years ago.

A very nice golf course but let down by a few things. 1. No reduced offer if we played one course more than once! 2. There was a lot of rain but no umbrellas to rent. Only buy at €45 or €60! 3. The course had lots of divot on the greens which had not been repaired -we did this on every green. 4. There was rubbish and litter as there are almost no bins. All in all a bit of a poor experience and we will look elsewhere next time.

We have received a warm welcome when we arrived at the reception desk. The course is long, narrow and challenging in very good condition. The weather was ideal, sunny, 16°, with a light wind. We played at the best hours from 11.30 to 15.30h. An excellent buffet was very much appreciated at the end of the round. Congratulations!

I have played Aroeira 1 several times in recent years. This is probably the best condition I have seen the course in. Still well worth a visit in my view. It is exceptional value when booked with other Orizonte group courses on the Lisbon Passport..

General condition average, I would give 3+. Layout OK, but a bit boaring, the fairway grass not so good. A bit strange that the range was at Aroeira 2. Greens were good. Service was OK.

We have played aroeira several times but this time they have had problems with lack of water, the greens were good but fairways were just ok.

Nice course. The fairways were a little bit ragged in places, but we know the weather had been very dry prior to our visit. We assume the course was leaving the fairway grass uncut to protect them. Otherwise, everything in very good condition.

Well suited to the mid to high handicap golfer, generous fairways, no fairway bunkers and largely flat, moderate paced greens. The Par 5 holes are very samey
It is an easy walk and drains superbly. Even after torrential overnight rain the course was very playable.
The course was in good condition at the end of November.
